My Dyson DC07 has recently been service and was making a clattering noise and very hard to push. We have taken it back and he has changed the clutch mechanism under the base which has solved the clattering, but it is still really hard to push because of the suction. It is even lifting the carpet in one room. Can you tell me what the possible reasons for this could be? One thought we had was that the little rubber wheels on the bottom cover could have worn so the hoover is closer to the floor

On the sole plate you should have 5 little wheels, these are prone to jamming after a while. You should make sure these are not jammed in anyway.\012\012You can release these with a screwdriver, but be careful not to prize too hard as you ... Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

The bottom bar that encases the brush is flush to the floor when using the vacuum. This causes the suction to "stick" the vacuum to the floor (lamenate) and also as there is no ground clearance debris is just pushed around. We have to nearly stand the thing upright to get the ground clearance to be enough for things to start being sucked up. I have taken apart, re-assembled etc and nothing is working.

Stopped running My mother's Oreck vacuum sound as if there was something bogging the rotating brush down. I pulled the bottom cover off and found nothing wrapped around or restricting the brush. I tried to finish vacuuming with the problem then I turned it off to move a chair and turned it back on it would do nothing. I am having problems with the roller on my Oreck DTX-1300. It turns on and off intermittantly while I'm vacuuming. I have completly taken it apart and cleaned and inspected the roller unit.(I am very much mechanically inclined) This has stumped me, I have checked the electrical from the vacuum to the floor unit, and everything else that I could think of. Question: what does the metal sensore plate on the bottom of the roller unit do?? Anything anybody can tell me, I would greatly appreciate. Cap

Hover Elite Rewind I've only had this vacuum a few months and I really liked it until now. There is almost no suction from anywhere in the vacuum, and I've cleaned all the filters and rollers with my shop vac and made sure that everything was assembled correctly. It used to be really quiet now it is quite loud and it keeps over heating, and shutting off. At this point I have no idea what could cause this problem, the machine is nearly brand new and I can't afford a new one at this point.

On the DC07, the entire cyclone assembly must be removed to empty the dust, debris, etc. collected when vacuuming. On the top of the cyclone is a "trigger" that you lift with your finger to release the bottom catch, which allows a clear flap to open on the "clear bin," thus letting all the debris fall out. My problem is when you lift the finger trigger, it does not release the catch on the bottom. Since the catch won't release, I cannot remove the entire clear bin either from the cyclone.Any sug
