Having problems with your Vacuums ?

One of the pins on the plug on my hoover have snapped off, the top one. so i cut it off & tried to use a normal plug but it has blew the electrics. Is there any way round this? Thanks

Answers :

If you connected all the wires the correct way to the plug then you could have a short in the wiring in the hoover. Get an engineer to check it out.

Hooked everything up per directions. I plugged it in to the closest electrical outlet and nothing happened. The lights did not light up, the connected wall control and sensors leds do not light up. It appears the unit doesn't have power. The electrical outlet socket is fine as everything else I plug into it works fine. I have tried every other electrical outlet available. The unit won't power on from any outlet, and all of those outlets run other things, like power tools an refrigerators

Dyson DC23 Vacuum shut off and came on. Thought it was a problem at the electrical outlet as when moving plug it would come on again. Seen canister was full, emptied it and cyclone was quite plugged up so poked out the dirt. Had dog hairs in it as well as some ashes I had just vacuumed. Plugged unit in again and pressed switch. Will not come on. Tried another outlet. Is there a reset button somewhere or could the ashes have seized the motor. What can I try besides taking it to a repair sho

I have a Bissell 9400 E pro heat turbo. It's only been used 4 times, today it sounded like something blew. All my house electrics went off...( blew the main trip) I did read some place that the motor can short out and blow the PCB. Hubby and I just took it apart..( what a pain that was) We can't see a thing wrong with the board...( I expected to see something black, or damaged).... because when it blew today there was a weird smell... sort of like garlic. Question... how on this spinning earth

I just purchased and electric percolator. I plug it in to see if it worked. It percolated but never shut off. The electric cord and pot look brand new. On the bottom it is stamped US patent 1999329 108-115 volts 425 watts. Percolator No 201. It says there is a fuse inside. Could this be the problem? I haven't used and electric percolator and do no t know what to expect.

The fuse would not be the problem as it would cause the percolator to not work at all.The patent expired in 2007 and wasn't renewed so the company is likely out of business meaning no parts. Is there a removable panel somewhere? If there is,would you o ... Vacuums

I have a Flotec shallow well FP4122-08. A burglar stood on the pump this summer to gain access to my goats building (window). There's a small black tube that came off at both ends. When I put the tube back on, it shoots right back off as soon as the pump is plugged in. I don't know the name of the part (tube) to order a new one, and I don't know if it just plugs onto the fittings of both ends, or goes into the pump at the end with the round fitting on it.

I was trying to repair my wife's kitchenaid mixer and took part of it apart, including the back part, where the electrical connections are. The original problem was the plastic gear was damaged -- I finally had the good sense to find the solution for that problem on the internet and replaced the damaged part. But now the mixer just won't turn on. I don't think I damaged anything in the electrical section, but I suspect I either blew a fuse or somehow disconnected something.

My dc 05 isnt working and i cant understand why , i have cleaned all filters etc and i also changed the fuse on the plug , which after i didi that it attempted to start but then jus cut out again so i thought the fuse had blown again , so i checked the fuse but its working fine could there still be a blockage somewhere in it or is it something electrical which means my dyson has to go to the dump :(

Most common cause of this problem is a wire broken inside the flex, usually either just where it leaves the plug (easy to fix) or at the other end (more of a problem).
