Having problems with your Vacuums ?

The belt is intact but the aggitator doesn't spin anymore. Had a horrible rubber smell, went to change belt. Not the problem. Anyone know what could be wrong? Dirt Devil bagless w/dirt indicator

It could also be a bearing problem in the roller brush. Take the belt
\015\012off of the roller brush and see if the brush spins freely, if not, remove the
\015\012roller brush and check both ends to see if one end is stuck. If so you
\015\012need a new roller brush or there might be hair rapped around the bearing keeping it from turning freely.
Even though your belt is intact it still could be worn. if you tilt the vac up (roller off the floor and the roller spins, replace the belt. on most vacuums the life of the belt for optimum performance should be 9- 12 months. If your vac has a carpet / bare floor selection, check to make sure it is in carpet mode.

I replaced the belt on my Dirt Devil Featherlite Bagless Vacuum and the brush roller rubs and makes a very loud noise when turned on. I have gone exactly by the manual instructions and made sure the belt and end caps were on correctly, but the bristles still rub the back and it makes a very loud noise. Without the brush roller in the vacuum, it sounds and runs normal. What could the problem be?

I heard that a class action lawsuit against Oreck Vacuum is being started because of all the problems customers are having with their vacuums. Does anyone know about this? My Oreck is only a couple of years old and keeps burning up belts. I took it in after only one week of usage when I started to notice white smoke coming out of it and the smell of burning rubber. I feel like I got the old run-around, when the service tech told me he couldn't find anything wrong (but replaced the burned up belt

My machine (Hoover Wind Tunnel - bagless) is only 1 yr. old. The agitator brush doesn't turn all the time. I know it's not supposed to turn when in the upright position. Could the V-belt be worn out already? In the owner's manual it states that this belt is not normally replaced. The exact same thing happened with my old

The battery will not charge in the sweeper. I can remove the battery and wire it to the power supply for charging and it will charge up and run the sweeper. The belt on my vacuum cleaner model 6596 bissel powerforce bagless turbo keeps breaking. As soon as I put on a new belt and start it up the belt snaps. It is the durabelt meant for this vacuum model. Also, my son has been having the same problem with his. He has the same model and same belt. This problem is occurring even after a thourough cleaning.
