Removing top cover

\015 My vacuum has an electrical fault and I want to remove the top cover as I believe the fault is a loose connection. I have removed the four screws that I can see but the cover will still not open.\015

To remove the cover you need to gently prise off the rear castors. You will see a couple of grey locking tabs that hold the coloured plastic lid on. Gently prise the two past apart and the lid can be removed. When you remove the lid you may find that once dismantled its a job getting all back in agan afterwards!
I am not familiar with the Bosch vacuums. Sorry! Some vacs have both screws and pressure locks. Turn the vac upside down and look for symbols of a screwdriver with a little arrow pointing at it..

Brushes stopped The brushes stopped turning while using the cleaner. I removed the brushes to see if the spindle was broken, it wasn't. I then removed the top plastic cover and checked the switch that engages the brushes; it didn't seem to be moving correctly. There's one spring on the switch - should there be two? Or do you think something has broken on the inside? Thanks for any help

Poor suction...continued Wow, thanks for answering so quickly! To answer your question, yes, there is suction at the screen, but it is very weak. I keep that screen clean. As a side note, I noticed that when I remove the top clear plastic cover (that would be part # 37 on the diagram, as far as I can tell) there is decent suction coming from the intake there--part 36? 30? it's hard to tell. But with the cover on, I feel no suction (from where it sucks up the water directly from the carpet),
