I have a Kirby G5 and need to replace the gear drive shaft, as the lever inside fell off and the shaft came out. (Common problem by the sound of it.) How do i remove the actual gearbox itself. I have removed the 3 screws on the bottom, but it's not coming out. What's stopping it from coming out? Do i need to remove the gearbox drive belt first? If so, how do i get to it? Thanks in advance.

I have a power drive baggless vacuum cleaner...it runs well, but suddenly it seems to have lost most of the suction coming through the hose and floor area. When I remove the dirt container, the suction below it seems strong. I have had it to repair twice--they have tuned it up and replaced all filters and belt. It still does not pick up well when I vacuum or use the hose. Can you help ?

Hi, I have a Dirt Devil Model # M08100REDC. I desperately need to change the bag, but I don't see an obvious way to do it. I'm afraid to try pulling on the cloth tab thingy that's just below the handle, between the rubber ring that holds the bag on the vac, because it seems like stuff will fly everywhere from the force required to remove it, and I might not be able to get it back on there. Should I just pull on that cloth tab until the bag comes off? Thanks, Roberta

You can pull on the tab to remove the bag, but probably a better way is to gently pull on the rubber ring that attaches the bag to the back of the vacuum body. Hi, There is a high pitched whirring sound coming from lower part of the vacuum. When I tilt it toward me (while standing in the normal vacuuming stance) the sound sometimes lessens for a minute or so.
