Having problems with your Vacuums ?

My Shop Vac (Brand) Mdl#934-16-11 keeps shutting off while I'm dry vacuuming. I can turn it back on then it will shut off again. The filter is spotless, so that's not the issue. There isn't any reset buttons. The only thing I can think of is that the float for wet vacuuming is somehow being sucked up causing the the motor to be tripped off. The vacuum is only about a year and a half old and used only sparingly. Help!

Hi all---I have a Dirt Devil 091020V. there was a problem with the wand where it was the only thing sucking even when it was stuck in the tube it would ****--but nothing from the vacuum end--the diverter was stuck closed I took it apart and found something stuck but in the meantime the torsion spring [I think} fell out and I don't know where it goes--so now only the vacuum works --not the overhead cleaner part.. is there a digram somewhere that can tell me where it goes--I think it might b

I have bissell powerforce turbo bagless upright vacuum. Its a great machine. It is clogged though. I think I was not emptying the dirt collection tray thing enough. How can I unclog it. Its not sucking up like it should. It sucks up most stuff, but its not going into the bagless tray thing like it should

Hi I’ve got a Panasonic vacuum cleaner MC E468 1600W a few years old now but works well up to recent problem. Not picking up I checked the obvious things and found excessive air being sucked in around the hose housing at the back of the vacuum (as it enters the waste bag) On inspection it appears to me as if there should be some sort of gasket that may have perished and been sucked in, however I can’t identify any such part. Any thoughts on what the problem/solution may be will be appreciate

The hose on the back might be loose - check to see that the hose is not obstructing anything where it screws in at the back - or indeed the screws may be loose themselves; some of the MCE 468 models had an additional ring washer that sits between the ... Panasonic Vacuums

The bottom bar that encases the brush is flush to the floor when using the vacuum. This causes the suction to "stick" the vacuum to the floor (lamenate) and also as there is no ground clearance debris is just pushed around. We have to nearly stand the thing upright to get the ground clearance to be enough for things to start being sucked up. I have taken apart, re-assembled etc and nothing is working.

I'm having the same problem.  The bottom plate is not level with the floor unless the vacuum is nearly in the upright position.  Its like there should be a spring pushing the bottom plate towards the floor.  Anyone know how to fix this ... Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I took the cover off the brush so I could cut off all the hair that was wrapped around it (vacuum was working fine, I just noticed the hair). I pulled the brush/spinner thing off one side, cleaned everything, popped it back in where it belonged, and tried to make sure the belt was in the proper alignment. However, when I turned the vacuum on, it makes a horrible noise like I'm sucking up rocks. What have I done wrong in putting it back together? It seemed simple...

No suction vacuum won't pick up -- I've checked the bag, hose...and it seems to have no sucking power. The internal hose may be jammed (I vacuumed up a lot of shredded paper), but nothing as far as I can stick in fingers in. I don't have a metal coat hanger to slip down, but I'm afraid that might tear the hose and then the darn thing won't work anyway. :o(

If it is plugged, try using a tape measure, i know it sounds stupid but it will work to unplug your line and will not tear your hose.. ... Kirby G4 Bagged Upright Vacuum

I have a Harmony vacuum that's a couple years old. I recently sucked a fair amount of dog hair into it and was unaware something was amiss since the things so quiet. It just shut down and wouldn't come back on. 10 minutes or so later it came back on but now it's got no sucking power. I figure I torched the motor. Good guess? What are my options--I'm out in the middle of no where but can get it to a repair shop 250 miles away. Is it worth trying to salvage or am I going to pay as much to get it f

I cleaned the whole thing out, changed out all the filters again and cleaned out the motor compartment. Then I discovered a huge clog in the line. Once I got that all done--it's now working like a charm. Moral of the story: spend more time looking fo ... Electrolux Vacuums

My bissell vacuum cleaner has stopped sucking things up as well as it was when I first purchased it two months ago. It also seems to be pushing more air out than it is sucking up.

I have an old Miele canister vacuum and I do not know how to disassemble the hose to check for a clog. I think it sucked up a nerf ball the size of a ping pong ball. Do I take the filter off when I am vacuuming up wet things?

If it's a paper filter, take it off. If it's a cloth filter that can be washed and dried, leave it on. Your machine will have a float to close off the suction when the tub needs emptying. Anyway, air from the tub only goes through the turbine, not th ... Craftsman 17026 Wet/Dry Vacuum

I have a self propelled Royal Dirt Devil vacuum model number 087900 and it goes backward fine but forward has to be pushed so hard it's impossible. Is this a switch? Do you know about how much the part would cost and can it be done by a beginner. We fix a lot of things ourselves but we aren't mechanics by no means. We put a brand new belt on it. I don't think it can be put on backwards and brush turns fine. Where is the switch? Use layman's terms.

You might try a new belt and/or brush roll. The brush roll is what helps pull a vacuum forward, the power drive helps, but if the brush isn't turning like it should, then it will hinder forward motion. The belt may look ok, but they stretch to the ... Vacuums

I bought a Dyson Vaccum for pets. Spent around 700 for it, and thought it was the cats meow. They promise that there is no lose of suction, and oh boy is that a joke. I clean the filter that they say they don't have, which they do. I have cleaned it up thinking I just have a dirty vaccum. Now the hose sucks together so hard that it is pretty flat. And the plug in is EXTREMELY HOT!!! It seems like the littlest things fall off of it, and it is all plastic and it cracks and pieces break off.f I don

I'm using Miele Medivac vacuum and I just sucked in a small plastic eye drop container by accident(I sometimes take off the brush part to **** in 'small enough' articles). And it is jammed in the part where the plastic hose connector bends. Hello, I just bought a Bissell Powergroom (model 92L3-W) vacuum and a Bissell Proheat Pet (model 8910-3) deep cleaner and I love them both. My problem is, when we unpacked them we somehow lost the manuals; I think I had too many helpers that night – they may have gone out to the trash with the boxes. I need replacement manuals if you would be so kind as to help me out. Could you email me a manual for each of these two machines, or tell me exactly where to find them online? I’ve been looking, but
