Having problems with your Vacuums ?

I have a new STEAM VAC Dual V All Terrain Carpet and Hardwood Cleaner. I have used it once and it worked well. Now, the second time, I have no water return. I checked the tank location, the brushes are moving slowly (but the plastic surrounding around the brushes moves as well ??) Water is coming out. There is hot air blowing out, but there is no air suction. What is wrong? Ursula Litzcke

Hello litzcke.
\015\012There are lots of people facing this problem as well as other problems with this machine. As there are lots of faulty with this product; would not **** up water/air/shampoo, will not brush and lots more. If it is under warranty, it is best to get it replaced but if it not, try this;

\015\012 It can be that the lid was not on the dirty water tank properly. Even if you had placed the lid hundred times and still it is not in the correct way. Now, try to take the lid off completely and make sure there're no residue on the rubber part (that seals the tank). When the lid is put back on, put the hinges back on first and then latch of the front hinge. The lid has to be sealed completely/correct way for the vacuum effect.

Does the machine have separate hand tools that attach with a hose? If so, are you sure that the socket on the machine where the hose attaches is closed off properly with its hinfed flap. If that is not fully closed you will not get suction from the base of the machine to pick up the water.

I have a Bissell Steam Cleaner that is not sucking up the water when cleaning. I used a full container of water and when it was empty I emptied out the water, only to find very little dirty water in it. I noticed the window, as i used it, seemed like it wasnt sucking up the water. I took the plastic cover off to clean it (it didnt look very dirty in the first place), an i noticed that the grey plastic flap was on but not moving up or down. My Hoover Windtunnel Mach 6.9 brush roller quit working. Upon investigating I found that the idler arm pulley was broken so I managed to replace that. Before putting the cover back on I see the control knob for the roller brush moves a plastic piece left or right to activate/deactivate the brush roller. I don't know where this plastic piece connects. It appears to me that the idler are when raised creates tension on the belt which drives the roller. I'm at a loss trying to figure ou

I was vacuuming my room and all of a sudden I hear this loud noise, then notice the roller brush isn't spinning. Thinking too much hair was caught I separated it from the rod and hose to clean it out, but noticed that the roller brush didn't move at all while I was cleaning it. I've cleaned the brush before and it would roll around with little effort, but this time I couldn't move it at all. After removing hair and string I put the vacuum back together and started it up, but the noise continued,

My Bissell Model 3760-4 is not working properly. The belt has been replaced (and checked 3 times), but the brush bar does not move when the brush motor button is on. I have a DC07 and the brush wasn't rotating and I had no suction at the brush but perfect suction through the hose. I noticed a large build up of dog hair around the brush so I took off the cover plate and removed all the hair, cleaned inside the floor/brush housing and cleaned out the hose. I also cleaned the filter and removed the other air access cover and made sure that they were clear. I put everything back and the brush still doesn't turn and there is still no suction through the bottom

The belt on my used Eureka Boss 5857 upright slips off the end of the motor shaft every time the vacuum is used. When I turn the brush roll slowly by hand, the belt walks toward the end of the shaft. It looks like there was a plastic projection from the base that snapped off, and maybe that plastic piece used to block the belt from falling off. Do I need to try to reconstruct that plastic piece, or is something else wrong?

Shampoo-er This seems to be a common problem, the shampooer is putting out alot of water and hardly any suds. I read through the posts about the little filter that sometimes gets out of place and I think I found it in the box - is it about 1" diameter hard plastic ring around very fine mesh? If so where exactly does it go? Some posts say in the hose, and others say in the opening of the tank. Or does it go in the place where the hose attaches to the tray?
