My Kenmore sewing machine timing has gotten off. I am sewing a big upholstery project and it starting bunching thread from the bobbin. The thread is so heavy that I had to put some pressure just to get it undone. This happen a few times and then I found it wasn't sewing at all. When I evaluated without the materials in place I could see the needle would catch on the white plastic piece under the bobbin and the thread would not catch on the metal arm. It appears to be off by 1/4 - 3/8 inch.

I have a Kenmore 385.19110 model machine, and the straight and zig zag stitches work just fine, but when I follow the directions in the manual to do a satin stitch (which is use the lowest stitch length) it creates a line that isn't perfect, or uniform, and after an inch or two stops catching the bobbin underneath. Have already tried reinserting the bobbin, rethreading the machine, refilling the bobbin, changing the bobbin, cleaning the needle, changing the tension. Wondering if I just got a mac

I have had 226R 20 years. Don't use it much. I have learned to pull slack out of top thread to start so I do that. However, sometimes, as today, it will wind the thread around the bobbin holder and I have to take time to ge it all out clean it up. Is something out of adjustment or what. Sometimes it will sew OK then all of a suden it will start to wind the thread around the bobbin holder again. So I'm confused. Do you have any ideas. Thanks

Singer 327 lower bobbin thread is wild and loopy after I sew...top stitch fine. Just changed to a large thread spool with the heavy remote base and crook to carry thread to machine and wonder if this changed tension (set at 4 and correctly threaded)? It had been working fine in zigzag but I also went back to reg foot and set stitch width at 0, center needle set. Thanks for your input and help. Deanna

I have the Janome 6600 P. Beginning a seam the thread knotted and the machine made noise and needle would not move either up or down. I manually moved the needle using the handwheel and cut away the knotted thread. I began sewing again but instead of starting at the edge began about a half inch down, forward stitched, reversed to lock threads and problem repeated and received the message to "Stop for safety purposes". Did that. Referred to the manual, tried manual recommendation. Did not work. I

The last time I sewed with my Necchi the tension was fine. Today when I threaded my needle, the thread felt tight in the upper tension dial. I tried re-threading the machine several times, but it didn't help. Now the parts of the tension dial are all loose and wobbbly and I have no upper tension. Doesn't matter what the dial is set on. The tension dial appears to be broken, but I don't know how that could have happend since I store it in a case.

I found this thread (no pun intended):\015\012\015\012http://www.fixya.com/support/t2902978-need_replace_upper_tension_dial\015\012 ... Vacuums

Janome 6600 sewing machine. bobbin thread is gumming up underneath on a swimsuit knit type material (4 layers). Brand new machine had 1 1/2 weeks. Sometimes material goes down into the bobbin area jammed by needle. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you're using a polyester thread (I use maxilock serger thread) then a stretch needle, and hold the tails of your thread until you get started into the seam so the fabric cannot push down into the opening on the throat plate.\015\012 ... Vacuums

Please please help me! I recently bought an Empisal Celebrity 550 Sewing machine, I've used it maybe 4 times up to now. We have the Kenmore progressive direct drive (bagless) and have had it for about 3 years. We have taken good care of it, and paid quite a bit for it hoping that it would last for a good long time. It has started making a noise that seems to be an overflow air type of noise coming out of a bottom air outlet opening for when the air flow is blocked. We have looked into clogs, changed filters, and the whole works, to no avail! Quite Frustrating since I love this purple vacuum! The machine started
