Having problems with your Vacuums ?

My brush will not turn on my Bissell 6393 upright bagless vacuum... what is wrong? The belt broke and I replaced it twice... I now have 6 more replacements but the brush still won't rotate. Do I have to get a new brush?

Answers :

This type of plastic brush roll fails pretty frequently. Hair and other debis gets jammed in the end caps. The hair and debris gets hot which in turn tends to melt the plastic end caps. Remove your brush roll, hold the ends with your fingers and try to spin the brush roll. If it does not spin freely then it is probably damaged or clogged up. If it's not damaged beyond repair you may be able to unscrew the end caps and clean the debris out. If you can't unscrew the end caps then they may already be meted shut. Bissell part number for your brush roll is B2032305.

I have a CT600 power brush that would not power up. Thinking the motor was bad in it, I replaced it with a new CT700 power brush, I am still experiencing the same problem the power brush itself does not seem to be getting electic power, but the Vacuum unit does come on with suction.

First try connecting the power nozzle directly to the hose. If it works, the problem is due to a broken wire or faulty connection in the wands. At least one wand will need to be replaced.\015\012My guess is it's probably due to a broken or di ... Broan-NuTone VX550 Bagged Central System Vacuum

I have a dyson dc07 with a malfuncitoning clutch diagnosed here on fixya. I know it is an old machine, but I would like to fix it and get it going again. Any tips???
