Having problems with your Vacuums ?

Stiches are loose in the bottom side of the cloth,if i change the bobbin case....will it help? I can understand that tension of thread is the problem.....but don't know what to do

Answers :

The case the bobbin goes into has a little spring on its side .. the spring has one or two screws. one screw adjusts tension on the spring .. the bobbin thread goes under that spring when it is properly threaded .. if the screw is loose or missing then replace the screw or tighten it a little so that thread pulled thru the bobbin case spring has a bit of drag .. if its too loose then you can tighten the screw a bit more ... if you tighten it too much then it will pull the top thread thru to the bottom .. if your adjustment screw or spring is missing then you can replace the bobbin holder .. the new one should have the spring in place and be properly tightened .. . often the adjustment screw is just loose or the thread is not positioned correctly in the bobbin case slot. .

The last time I sewed with my Necchi the tension was fine. Today when I threaded my needle, the thread felt tight in the upper tension dial. I tried re-threading the machine several times, but it didn't help. Now the parts of the tension dial are all loose and wobbbly and I have no upper tension. Doesn't matter what the dial is set on. The tension dial appears to be broken, but I don't know how that could have happend since I store it in a case.

I just had this machine delivered yesterday (Janome Magnolia 7330). When I sew a straight seam (all I've tried so far) I get loops at the underside of the fabric. I adjusted the upper thread tension, but that did not help. In fact the loops got larger as I increased the tension. My thought is that I don't have the machine threaded correctly. Thanks!

Singer 327 lower bobbin thread is wild and loopy after I sew...top stitch fine. Just changed to a large thread spool with the heavy remote base and crook to carry thread to machine and wonder if this changed tension (set at 4 and correctly threaded)? It had been working fine in zigzag but I also went back to reg foot and set stitch width at 0, center needle set. Thanks for your input and help. Deanna
