I have a remote Hunter Ceiling Fan w/ remote 1-2-3 fan speed buttons and one on/off/dimmer light button. Model Number CP-9110R. It only has one pull string and it is for the light. I would like convert the light to work off of a simple wall on/off switch and the fan to be controlled by a 3-speed pull string. Can I by-pass all the sensors and make it work?

I see noone has answered so I will.Yes,it could be done, but if there is not a conversion kit for your fan,it would not be wise to do it.For starters, all of the things required would probably cost at least $15.Also,there is at least one tool you would ... Vacuums

I have a VX3000C Broan vacuum and the motor sometimes runs lower and comes back to normal time and time. Plus, now it lamost stops before coming back to normal speed. Can someone explain to me what that might be or if it did happen to someone else? It doesn't stop, but runs at very low speed and come back. It is like if a connection is not made properly. But it does the same at my 3 connections and I did check the one on the vaccuum itselfs.

My Bernina 807 set on min. speed takes off fast, doesn't go slow at all, although there is a difference in the slow speed setting and high speed setting if I switch from one to the other while stitching. The machine is well oiled and goes well apart from this. I would like min. speed to start smoothly and slowly. I have read it could be capacitor in foot, but DH says it does not look burnt out. Would it help my problem to remove it? thank you, Barbara

I just purchased and electric percolator. I plug it in to see if it worked. It percolated but never shut off. The electric cord and pot look brand new. On the bottom it is stamped US patent 1999329 108-115 volts 425 watts. Percolator No 201. It says there is a fuse inside. Could this be the problem? I haven't used and electric percolator and do no t know what to expect.

The fuse would not be the problem as it would cause the percolator to not work at all.The patent expired in 2007 and wasn't renewed so the company is likely out of business meaning no parts. Is there a removable panel somewhere? If there is,would you o ... Vacuums

The unit won't power on from any outlet, and all of those outlets run other things, like power tools an refrigerators

When running the 2100 Electrolux vacuum, it is stopping and starting when pulling or pushing the floor attachment. Seems like the connection at the top of the handle is a little loose or the electric tabs are loose where the hose connects. Any ideas?

Other option is that on the hose end of the electrical connection, you can use an awl on the electrical connections to bend them in slightly so they make good contact when they are automatically plugged in when you connect the wands. Hunter Fan Mod 21617-001, wire colors Black with white stripe/ Pink/Yellow/Red/Gray/Black/White. This has a floresent light, no chains or switches. The Pink serves the light. Note the wires are not labeled but I assume go to different speeds on the fan. Attempting to utilize the "Universal Remote" Mod 27185 with no joy.

Red and white are twisted together,or however you combine wires.I use plastic wirenuts.Always twist clockwise as the wirenuts are most effective that way and the wires will stay together better.Black/white,yellow,and gray are the speeds yes,and the f ... Vacuums

I was trying to repair my wife's kitchenaid mixer and took part of it apart, including the back part, where the electrical connections are. The original problem was the plastic gear was damaged -- I finally had the good sense to find the solution for that problem on the internet and replaced the damaged part. But now the mixer just won't turn on. I don't think I damaged anything in the electrical section, but I suspect I either blew a fuse or somehow disconnected something.

Hi There I have got a Kirby 2 HG vaccum cleaner which is around 20 years old now. It was going really well until last week when one of the capacitors which are connected to the brushes blew up. There is two capacitors one for each brush. One of them completely blew to bits and the other one is still intact. My question is are they the same size and where do I get a new one from. I know it is an old machine, but I would like to fix it and get it going again. Any tips???

Miele vacuum Sometimes when I hit the auto roll up cord button or even move the cord, the power vacuum goes off. I move the cord again and it comes back on. I took it apart and looked at the connection from the cord to the auto roller. These are the electrical slip on type connections and are still in good shape. There are no bends in the cord. I air dusted everthing inside, put it together (with no extra parts!). Good news..it powered up so I did not break it, but it still has the same problem.
