Stiches are loose and ball up on bottom side - Vacuums

Answers :

Then your top thread tension is far too loose in relation to the bobbin thread.

First, check that the bobbin thread (the lower thread) pulls out with a little bit of tension. If it's hard to pull out then you have loaded the bobbin incorrectly or have a faulty bobbin case. If the bobbin thread seems fine then check that you have correctly run the top thread and have set the tension correctly. As you haven't stated a make and model it's impossible to give you more detailed instructions though.

I have a Series G Kirby Model G7D. The other day when I was vacuuming all of a sudden the TechDrive (Power Drive Assist N/D) pedal fell off. I see the hole that it goes into but when I put it in it's loose and falls out and doesn't control the power drive anymore. When I shook the vacuum I heard something rattling around inside the vacuum head. So I unscrewed the bottom and looked inside and found a small metal part labeled K3 on one side and T on the other side. It looks like it would fit

I have a Eureka Power Plus vacuum, model 4702, type A. To start off, it never really had great suction. Marginal at best. Then today I was vacuuming and smelled something burning and turned off the vacuum. At that point, smoke started pouring out from the bottom of the vacuum so I layed it on it's side and the smoke cleared but I never found the source. Is it safe to turn on again after I let it cool down or is my vacuum "shot?"
