I have a Singer Model #4562 sewing machine. I am having trouble adjusting the tension. Everytime I try and turn the knob to adjust the bobbin just gets looser. Right now it just snags and gets caught underneath the material and bunches up into a big ball. There is a lot of thread inside the bobbin case that came out of the bobbin and has to be cut out to free the material. How do I fix this mess. I am a novice at this. I have not sewn in several years and would like to sew a few quilts

The thread is so heavy that I had to put some pressure just to get it undone. This happen a few times and then I found it wasn't sewing at all. When I evaluated without the materials in place I could see the needle would catch on the white plastic piece under the bobbin and the thread would not catch on the metal arm. It appears to be off by 1/4 - 3/8 inch.

Our beautiful Bernina 730 sewing machine has been stored in the garage in its original case, and that wrapped in plastic, for a few years now. Temperatures have been both hot and cold in the garage, but the environment was dust-free. We have brought the Bernina in, set it up, oiled it as specified in the manual, with the original sewing machine oil. We have correctly threaded the machine and the bobbin thread is up. When we press on the pedal to sew, the machine gets electricity and buzzes

I just had this machine delivered yesterday (Janome Magnolia 7330). When I sew a straight seam (all I've tried so far) I get loops at the underside of the fabric. I adjusted the upper thread tension, but that did not help. In fact the loops got larger as I increased the tension. My thought is that I don't have the machine threaded correctly. Thanks!

When push-button (NOT pedal) is used, gives error E6, consistent with motor noise. 2d: In order to check threading had to manually PULL bobbin case toward me or it was UNDER needle plate. Cleaned a fair amount of dust out. Reinstalled bobbin, etc., per manual, rethreaded. 3rd: Will sew 2-3 stitches, then packs up again just like in 1st instance above. Have st

I have had 226R 20 years. Don't use it much. I have learned to pull slack out of top thread to start so I do that. However, sometimes, as today, it will wind the thread around the bobbin holder and I have to take time to ge it all out clean it up. Is something out of adjustment or what. Sometimes it will sew OK then all of a suden it will start to wind the thread around the bobbin holder again. So I'm confused. Do you have any ideas. Thanks
