My Oregon Scientific BAR888 has 5 windows, 1. temperature, 2. humidity, 3. mb/hPa or inHg (switch at the back), 4. bars showing pressure changes over 24 hours, and 5. time/date. Window 3 gives an option to set something between 0 and 2500. Oregon say they only have one set of instructions for the BAR888 but they do not match my instrument as there is nothing included for my window 3. Trouble is I don't know what the 0 to 2500 relates to and therefore don't know what to set it at.(My model does n

Does it take bags? Do I need to replace the filter or just wash the one I have? It is black and silver, cannister. It also says big gary's vacuum system warehouse in surry British Columbia, Canada. It also says to use filter pow-r-nozzle 96. I have no idea of the year.

My dyson DC17 will not turn on unless the handle is pulled back.(into the vacuuming position) The attachment hose will not work at all (0 suction thru it). I've checked the hose and made sure there is no obstruction. Any ideas?

Not sure if I can help, but I'll try. The DC17 has two motors: the vacuum motor and a separate motor for the brush bar. It is normal that the brush motor works only when the handle is pulled back in the vacuuming position - that's the way it's made. ... Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Heater/fan issues I have a Honeywell - Year Round Fan with 1500W Heater that shuts off within five minutes if the fan is not running too. I don't have the oners manual and can't find one online. I have read several reviews that say the same thing. The heat does do much good when the fan above it is blowing cold air. Any ideas?

There is a safety switch which will shut the heater element off if the fan doesn't run. If the fan doesn't circulate air, the element would overheat and could possibly start a fire, so the switch will shut the element down. I'm not familiar with this ... Vacuums

I have a Dyson 17, the Absolute Brand special for pet hair. I think I have a blockage in the hose. Symptoms are: spewing out fuzz balls and small particles. I have checked all the blockage sites recommended by Dyson and all are clear except a small flexible transparent hose, 6 or 7 inches long, curled up underneath the cleaner head/brush bar unit. Any ideas? I've tried to pull out the stuff stuck in there, but I'm afraid to perforate the hose and I don't know any way to disconnect it.

Try dropping something like marbles into the hose and shake it up and down, may loosen it up enough to draw through.hope this helps you out. ... Vacuums

My 400 series Discovery Roomba will no longer charge. It shows a green "charged" light, but when I hit clean, all lights/vacuum, etc just go out and it stops. I have 2 coleman with double mantle. I have only use it 3 times since I bought it. Since then, I am unable to make both of them start. I have used locally sold petrol.
