Having problems with your Vacuums ?

Sylvania microwave oven model # SM81012. The unit turns on, timer counts down, etc, but the unit does not heat the food. I think there's a problem with the way the door latch catches. But I don't know if/how I can access it.

I have a proheat 2x, and the pump will only spray water for a few seconds when unit is turned on, then nothing. The attachment is the same way. I think this is the pump failing, and the unit is only over a year old. How much would a pump cost? If this is the problem.

I just had my pump replaced for $66 and the repairman said this unit is notorious for this problem. He had 6 other units in his shop when we came in. Make sure you keep your clean water tank FULL, as he said the pump fails as soon as it runs dry. ... Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Upright Deep Cleaner, Red Berends Vacuum

Hey guys ! I have (or my wife has) A KENMORE whispertone 116. When my wife is cleaning with it it will suddenly stops. She then wiggles/pulls on the cord and it starts again and the stops.I pulled the cord all the way out and it is fine.So its inside.I dont relish the thought of playing with that reel but thats probably where the problem is (you think ??) My first challenge is how to seperate thw tp and bottem half peices???

It definitely sounds like the cord winder is the problem. I can tell you how to take the machine apart, but it's just about impossible to rebuild that winder. When you take the winder apart the spring blows apart, and it's very dangerous. I won't be ... Vacuums

Shark s3325 stopped working while steaming; thinking the unit had ran out of water I allowed unit to cool before refilling, however unit over flowed with only 700ml water added. When I plugged unit back into outlet it would not turn on (red light was not on) but I hear a click upon plugging in unit, when turning unit power button on and when turning on the handle switch. Please advise how to resolve this problem.

I am having problems with the roller on my Oreck DTX-1300. It turns on and off intermittantly while I'm vacuuming. I have completly taken it apart and cleaned and inspected the roller unit.(I am very much mechanically inclined) This has stumped me, I have checked the electrical from the vacuum to the floor unit, and everything else that I could think of. Question: what does the metal sensore plate on the bottom of the roller unit do?? Anything anybody can tell me, I would greatly appreciate. Cap

I have the scunci 1000 steamer- it was sitting for a while and the cap on the top looks like its corroded and i cannot remove it from the steamer - i just bought it a year ago, but i think the salt or vinegar from cleaning it got trapped in the top and i tried everything i could think of to loosen the top so i could pour water into the unit and use it again; otherwise it is in perfect condition, but i tried even pliers and i cannot loosen it and i dont want to break it, but am so frustrated - wh

My Dyson DC 24's beater bar switch didn't actuate and the beater bar didn't turn. When I brought it to a certified serviceman he told me that a wire interferred with the switch and all he had to do was move the wire out of the way of the switch. At the time the machine was under warrantee and it didn't cost me anything. Now however, the machine is out of warrantee and the problem has returned. Does anyone know how to access the switch and move the wire out of the way?

We have a GE Advantium 120 microwave. all sounds like the unit is working all controls work. it does not heat at all. I have the shelds off and do not see any problems. what do you think is the problem and how do I test for it? thank you for your help.

If the unit works but it doesn't heat then the magnetron isn't working. The only way t test it is to measure the 2 voltages that power it: the heating coil - 5 volts AC and the high tension - 5000 volts DC. While you can measure the heating voltage ... GE Vacuums

I have an easy flo vacuum model # 199C and it won't shut off. It started out as an intermitent problem but now will not shut off when the hose is unplugged, nor when the off/on switch on the main unit is shut off. the only way to get the motor to stop running is to unplug the unit. Any ideas?

Just had this same problem. I unplugged the low voltage signal wires and the vacuum stayed on. Thus eliminating the possibility of the signal wires shorting out somewhere. I'm not really sure which wire(s) were causing the problem. But when I disasse ... Easy Flo EF1500 Vacuum

I have a Bernina 930 sewing machine. I read the advice from "dogdanes" about the basting unit seizing up and I think this is my problem. It has happened once before, and I NEVER use the thing, so I think it's frozen. My flywheel won't turn. Can you help me fix this? I have a sewing business and can't afford to have my Bernie in the shop for weeks. Thanks. Maripat

Hi marjpatv,With your Bernina 930 sewing machine where the flywheel won't turn and seems like it's frozen, sounds like it needs some oiling. You may want to try having it oiled first since it could be a possible cause of this issue. You m ... Vacuums

My central vac unit does not turn off even when hose is disconnected. I have to unplug the motor unit in the garage to shut it off. What do you think the problem is? It is a 7 year old Electrolux

NO POWER My Dyson DCO4 Absolute (purple&lime) won't' switch on. I've checked the plug fuse, wall socket and also filters and hoses on machine all seem fine so think the problem is with the on/off button (maybe loose wire or something) but how do i get to it, is there a special way to remove the green on/off button in order to check the connection? Thankyou in advance for the help i am sure you will be able to provide.

The problem is almost certainly a fatigue break in the flex. These usually happen where the flex enters the handle through the rubber sleeve near the on off switch. You will need to cut about four inches off the wire and reconnect it to the switch. ... Vacuums

Poor suction The actual sweeper seems to work ok, but the hose attachment has some suction but not enough to pick up things I think it should and not enough to make the power brush spin. I've checked everywhere I can for clogs, but I can't see anything. And there doesn't seem to be any way to check to hose itself for clogs. I've cleaned out the container and the filters, but there's still a problem.

Check the inlet down by the brush roll, make sure it is open, if it is then the hose itself must have a clog. If the hose comes off, drop something like a marble in one end and see it it comes out the other end, if it doesn't then you have a clog. ... I have some sort of object in the hose of my Epic 6500. I have tried reversing the hose and blowing out the foreighn piece of debeis but this has not worked. Is there a way to remove the plastic connector end to access this end of the hose? Or is there another solution to this problem?

By reversing it, I assume you plugged the hose into the exhaust blower on the top of the machine. If so, insert the other end into the intake and turn one the vacuum. This way the clog is also getting sucked at what should be the loose end.\0 ... Electrolux Epic 6500 Vacuum

After two years, my Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop, Model S3101, no longer ejects steam. I have used tap water. I think the line is clogged with mineral deposits. Good day, I took off the cover on a proheat upright, to install the suction diverter flap. Guy at the shop told me I had to do this but I don't think it was really necessary. Anyway, I am having a real job getting the cover back on. The shampoo mix piston seems to be causing the problem seating the two halves correctly. I see no obvious "right: way to put the piston back in. can anybody help me. Thanks Richard

I have a Dyson 17, the Absolute Brand special for pet hair. I think I have a blockage in the hose. Symptoms are: spewing out fuzz balls and small particles. I have checked all the blockage sites recommended by Dyson and all are clear except a small flexible transparent hose, 6 or 7 inches long, curled up underneath the cleaner head/brush bar unit. Any ideas? I've tried to pull out the stuff stuck in there, but I'm afraid to perforate the hose and I don't know any way to disconnect it.

I just bought a Hoover Platinum Collection MaxExtract Carpet Cleaner (Model No. F8100900). This is the first time I've used it and got half way through one room and the unit cut off and has no power at all. No lights anywhere. On/Off button is inoperable. I checked the outlet and it's still operating so it's not a circuit breaker issue. The problem appears to be with the machine. Has anyone heard of this happening this quickly? Is there a reset button on the machine>
