Having problems with your Vacuums ?

I have 2 mood lights (90843C - 925600010602) within 2 weeks of each other, when switched on they light up for under a minute and then go off. I have tried them in various sockets around the house to ensure it isn't a problem with the socket. Any ideas ? Thanks, Jan

My Kirby 2HD has started making an odd roaring noise but still works fine. I have taken the front assembly off and cleaned and adjusted the roller and checked the belt. The noise seems to come from the motor housing. I have tried to wiggle the main shaft at the front (bearings?) and it seems tight. Can't seem to get the other housings apart. Any ideas? Thanks, John

It is quite possible, it just needs lubed. The motor comes in direct contact with dirt so, you have to make sure the front bearing has a drop of oil on it from time to time. If it starts to scream at you within one month, after oiling, the bearing ... Kirby Heritage II Vacuum

I have an electrolux central vacuum in my house. My central vac hose has something stuck in it, I think, maybe a sock. I tried to put a long dryer wand down it but the hose is just too long. Does this need a repair man or new hose?? Any idea of a way to blow it out? Thanks.

The best way to clear an obstruction is to blow it out by attaching the wall end to the exhaust of a shop vacuum, or using an air compressor.\015\012You can try holding the wand end of the hose directly to the CV in port and turning the machine ... Electrolux Central Vacuum

Hmmm Hi there, I actually had tried everything you mentioned except for the vinegar idea which I'll do when I get back up to my home in Oregon. I checked for pinches, the heater, etc. Water does NOT come out of the accessory tool and only will dispense out of the main area for a second or two..any liquid actually starts filling up the area right behind the nozzles and around the pump instead of OUT of the machine. I checked gaskets, made sure there was a tight seal, and even made sure the little

Have Electrolux 1590 whole house vac, and can't see how to get brushes out. Leads so short, and don't want to break them trying to free brushes. Do they slide out of plastic housing? My eyes not real good, but it looks like the leads are part of a brass sleeve that slides into the plastic housing. It also looks like the plastic housing may be a snap lock type, but I don't see how to open it.

I love my Keurig.....I have recommended it to many of my friends...3 of my friends asked if they could use their own coffee (and not trying it I said yes)...I have been told that the coffee grinds come out and are in the machine. I thought maybe they used too much coffee (but they tried various amounts)so I tried it myself and sure enough the grounds were all over the place. Even if I half filled the container....PLEASE HELP as they are cursing me...

** suction The best way to describe it is that when I was vacuuming I could see dust clouds at the front of the vacuum where the light is swirling around in the air. It was like it was blowing dust around instead of picking it up. I checked the tubing and found that it was clogged with some paper and hair ***** etc.... So I cleaned it out and tried it again and it still was not picking up properly. I had my husband take all the tubing apart to check for other clogging and there was none. When I

Tried to take roller brush out to clean it's housing, cant get one side back in without trying to force it.

I have used my Steam Vac for carpeting, but until today, had never tried cleaning upholstery with the spin-scrub brush. I spent a miserable afternoon trying to control the spray, which seemed to go everywhere AROUND the furniture, but not ON the furniture! Additionally, I never did get the water into the recovery tank, despite many attempts to connect and re-connect the hoses and recovery tank/lid.

I can sympathize. My vac came with two handheld attachments. I have better luck with the handheld attachment that doesn't have the spin-scrub pads. Bissell Pro Heat 7901 will spay through hose but not the floor and red flow indicator will not spin. So we took the housing off and after unclogging a hose running to the hearter, my husband unhooked the hose that goes to the flow indicator, blew in it and it started spinning. Put the deep cleaner back together, tried to use it and nothing. What else can we try? Can't afford to put it in the shop right now. Thanks in advance.

I borrowed my friends bissell to clean my carpet. It's the 7901. He brought it over and told me that it only sprayed out of the attachment hose. He said he couldn't figure out what was wrong. Bissell 6595 problems with roller brush. I've had this happen with two of the same model. Each one didn't last more than seven months! It sounds as though a belt is rubbing or slightly off-track. The sound is extremely loud. We've removed the plate around the brush bar, made sure the brushes are free of dog hair, and found that the belt appears to be on track. What should we try now? We haven't tried to use it to check for suction for fear of doing real damage! Thank you. Marcia VanDyne

Its for a central vac system. I have very low suction power. I've emptied the dirt trap. It seems the fan is working ok, so I guess theres a clog somewhere but I have no idea how to find and fix it. I have no manual on the unit as it was in the house when we bought it. I'd guess its same age as house (19 years old). Any advice would be graetly appreciated!

Usually, low suction would indicate access ports allowing air to enter the system. Easy to test system however. Test vacuum first. Remove intake hose to vacuum ( at the vacuum canister ) and place your hand over intake. You should feel considerab ... Vacuums

I am trying to change an old fashioned fuse, (house lights), luckily had a spare one. Have put the 15amp fuse wire through the whole thing, and trying to describe if I've got it right is alitle awkward, this is what i've done, cut a piece of 15amp wire a little longer than the old one, then loking at it, taken it straight through and round to left as I'm looking at it, and put the screw in, and obviously done the same for other side. My problem is that I don't remember taking the screws out of w
