Having problems with your Vacuums ?

This is crazy, as I've installed about a hundred ceiling fans in my day, but......what is the function of the 3rd pull chain on the Hampton Bay I just installed? It isn't the directional control as the fan has the traditional switch for this. The only thing I can figure is it's a means to control the fan and light with one pull chain. The generic instruction book doesn't address it. Thanks for your help!

I have a remote Hunter Ceiling Fan w/ remote 1-2-3 fan speed buttons and one on/off/dimmer light button. Model Number CP-9110R. It only has one pull string and it is for the light. I would like convert the light to work off of a simple wall on/off switch and the fan to be controlled by a 3-speed pull string. Can I by-pass all the sensors and make it work?

I see noone has answered so I will.Yes,it could be done, but if there is not a conversion kit for your fan,it would not be wise to do it.For starters, all of the things required would probably cost at least $15.Also,there is at least one tool you would ... Vacuums

My daughter pulled to hard on the ceiling fan pulling out the chain. i have taken it off and apart, nothing appears to be broken but im trying to figure out how to put it together so it retracks, i assume it has something to do with the tension of the small spring inside of it, but not sure how to put it back together im wondering if there is a internal diagram of this ???

I bought a Hampton Bay Hawkins 44 " ceiling fan (117 391) and would like a remote that I can control the speeds with not just the on and off. I have a pull chain for the speeds but would like to use a remote instead. Is this possible? I have a Hampton Bay Redington IV and love the remote. I'm looking for something like that. I have a Hampton Bay Midili fan which I just installed about a month ago and it was working fine. A few days ago when I flipped the switch on the light flickered on and off consistently until I turned the switch off. The remote also stopped working to control the fan and light. Since this model only can be controlled by the remote I am worried I will have to replace the remote already after only 1 month!

In many of these remote controlled lamps you cant use the new spiral light bulbs .. you can only use standard incandescent lights .. if thats not the trouble then you may indeed have a bad controller (in the fan) .. there is probably at least a 90 d ... Vacuums

We recently bought a home with a 52" Hampton Bay Berlini Model 729 395 ceiling fan with a light that operates on a remote control. There is also a wall switch plate with two circular controls - one pushes and spins, the other turns with 4 clicks. We can not get the light or the fan to operate using either the switches or the remote. We have checked the circuit breaker. The manual that came with the unit - provided to us from the previous homeowner - really only describes how to install the uni

Hunter Fan Mod 21617-001, wire colors Black with white stripe/ Pink/Yellow/Red/Gray/Black/White. This has a floresent light, no chains or switches. The Pink serves the light. Note the wires are not labeled but I assume go to different speeds on the fan. Attempting to utilize the "Universal Remote" Mod 27185 with no joy.

Red and white are twisted together,or however you combine wires.I use plastic wirenuts.Always twist clockwise as the wirenuts are most effective that way and the wires will stay together better.Black/white,yellow,and gray are the speeds yes,and the f ... Vacuums

I was changing a light bulb with one of those metal extension rods that unscrew and screw back in the replacement bulbs. It evidently didn't seat correctly and pulled off the bulb and created a quick "poof" type electrical short. I have switched out that bad bulb with a new one and can't get either the fan or lights to work. There doesn't appear to be a reset switch. I also swirched out the wall switch to see if that would make a difference and it does not. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreci

My wall ceiling fan's control unit UC 9051T failed. Light switch button does not work. If I replace it with some generic universal unit, do I need to replace transducer located in the fan housing also, or all of them are compatible? Thanks in advance. M

First, you didn't say you checked that the bulb worked. Is that burned out?\015\012\015\012If bulb is ok, you will have to make sure the switch is matched with the fan (ususally a set of 4, 6 or 8 micro-switches have to be set the same i ... Vacuums

Controller's small red light flashes constantly, meaning that electric blanket will not heat up. Instructions state switch off, wait, then re-try but this does not solve. Web search for 'Spares' does not actually give spares sellers, only those wishing to sell full new product! Does anybody know of a true spares seller please? Dreamland themselves do not appear to sell spares. UK only.

When the controller is flashing red, this means that there is a problem either with the controller or the wiring inside the blanket. You might try looking on Ebay. You might find a spare there. The safe thing to do though is just purchase a new one. ... Vacuums

The switch on the wall only works to control the fan and not the light- it won't turn off the ligght. I replaced the switch but it did not solve the problem

If this is a new installation and there was only one switch on the wall, say to control a light that was once there, then you have that switch hooked up only to the fan.\015\012If you want to control the light as well, it has to be wired up at the bo ... Vacuums

Last night as I was vacuuming, I noticed that the belt stop indicator light was on. I pulled out the hair that had gotten tangled around the brush in hopes of solving the problem. It didn't change things. I then unscrewed the entire bottom piece to take out the brush roller. I removed hair from the end piece of the brush roller and reattached the belt; however, I cannot figure out where the microchip is supposed to go so that I can reassemble the base piece by screwing it back together. It seems
