Having problems with your Vacuums ?

I slid the lever to lower the feed dogs and now (like so many other people have posted on the internet) I can't get them back up! I've sought out answers on the Singer website have called/emailed them but with no results. I slid the lever to the up position for the feed dogs and rotated the hand wheel towards me several times (I was told this is what should raise them) but that didn't work. Does anybody on God's green earth know how to raise those stupid feed dogs???

Answers :

Rotating the hand wheel will not move them. The lever should slide back from whence it came. Make sure you don't have the needle down among the dogs before you try to move it. The presser foot should also be raised first.
\015\012Perhaps something has fallen down there. Try sucking with hoover as perhaps a broken needle has slipped down. Or a tiny bit of machine oil might help move them.
