Now go to the far right end of this statement (the end opposite the spring, well I have a crack in the plastic which, when toggled, moves the entire plastic underside of the vacuum to move. In other words, I think I need an entire bottom plastic plate. The cracked area also makes the foot lever (which lowers or locks the vacuum handle) not work as the crack makes it impossible to work. I know you probably do not know what I am talking about but if you could just tell me where I could purchase the entire plastic plate of the bottom of the vacuum I would be very grateful. As of now, my vacuum cannot be used and I need it to be operational.

\015\012I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.

I bought a fantom vacuum on HSN about 9 years ago.Whan it was delivered the first one was broken so they sent a second one.tThat one also was cracked on covering for brush. I called and they told me they were no longer available,so I kept that one,since it would cost me shipping to return.The back right side wheel evenually cracked and fell off.I was able to put it back on and it would stay for a few weeks or so.It now has a large piece of plastic that has broken off the wheel where the bolt fit

Loud noise I have a brand new Dyson and it is great on all my floors except one of my area rugs when it starts making this really loud vibrating noise. I am not sure why - nothing is stuck in the roller or vacuum and it doesn't make it on any of my other rugs. Also it is really hard to push whereas all the other floors it just glides. The belt on my used Eureka Boss 5857 upright slips off the end of the motor shaft every time the vacuum is used. When I turn the brush roll slowly by hand, the belt walks toward the end of the shaft. I replaced the belt on my Dirt Devil Featherlite Bagless Vacuum and the brush roller rubs and makes a very loud noise when turned on. My dyson C07 ANIMAL is making a loud clatter noise when I push the head down. I have removed the sole plate and the brush bar is cracked so I removed it, but I understand the clutch maybe a problem also from reading other people's comments..how can I tell if it's a clutch problem also? On the DC07, the entire cyclone assembly must be removed to empty the dust, debris, etc. collected when vacuuming. On the top of the cyclone is a "trigger" that you lift with your finger to release the bottom catch, which allows a clear flap to open on the "clear bin," thus letting all the debris fall out.
