Having problems with your Vacuums ?

Attempting to thread 1409 Singer Promise for the first time. Instructions say to "pass the thread through the slotted eye of the take-up lever". The take-up lever does not stick out of the machine casing at any time. How do I do this? Thnk you for any help you can give me. Kathy

I have this problem too, I think it's a design fault. Used mine last night for first time and I managed to get the thread thru by placing the lever at the very top of its arch. Then I used the handwheel to bring it downwards and used tweezers to pull the thread through! I am considering returning it as I don't think it's fit for purpose.

Borrowed Brother XR7700 Sewing Machine 1st: Sewed one inch OK; moved fabric and it stopped sewing, motor made thudding noise. When push-button (NOT pedal) is used, gives error E6, consistent with motor noise. 2d: In order to check threading had to manually PULL bobbin case toward me or it was UNDER needle plate. Cleaned a fair amount of dust out. Reinstalled bobbin, etc., per manual, rethreaded. 3rd: Will sew 2-3 stitches, then packs up again just like in 1st instance above. Have st

Our beautiful Bernina 730 sewing machine has been stored in the garage in its original case, and that wrapped in plastic, for a few years now. Temperatures have been both hot and cold in the garage, but the environment was dust-free. We have brought the Bernina in, set it up, oiled it as specified in the manual, with the original sewing machine oil. We have correctly threaded the machine and the bobbin thread is up. When we press on the pedal to sew, the machine gets electricity and buzzes

The last time I sewed with my Necchi the tension was fine. Today when I threaded my needle, the thread felt tight in the upper tension dial. I tried re-threading the machine several times, but it didn't help. Now the parts of the tension dial are all loose and wobbbly and I have no upper tension. Doesn't matter what the dial is set on. The tension dial appears to be broken, but I don't know how that could have happend since I store it in a case.

Hello, I have an Electrolux vacuum. In desperation, I vacuumed up some water and my machine stopped. I am hesitant to take the machine to a repair place for fear that if it is a simple repair they will not be honest. Can anyone give me advice on whether this is a problem that requires a new motor or major repair? Thank you!

Although it's never to be recommended, it is sometimes possible to vacuum up a little water without doing significant damage. However, the fact that your machine then stopped suggests that the electrics got wet. That may or may not have caused expens ... Vacuums

Hi. I can get my FunLock 007D serger threaded fine (as it's color coded) until I get down to the area that includes threading the needle. Can you give me some instructions that will guide me through this? I have the manual that came with the machine, but the illustration isn't clear or specific enough for me to follow. I'd sure appreciate some assistance on this. My e-mail address is: [email protected] Thanks you. Vicki Flagg

FOR dlh2457: Just came across your post to another person's dilemma. I found this Baby Lock BL4 428 serger at a thrift store. It powers on but I know nothing about its use. I don't want to spend $14 plus for an owner's manual and find out this machine does not function properly or possibly damage it by improperly threading it or having it out of adjustment. My Kirby G6 light is not turning on when I start the machine. I took off the front piece and removed a lot of hair from the roller and interior. Since I did that, the belt keeps coming off (even though it is fairly new). Is that the reason the light won't turn on? Is there any advice you can give me before I take it in?

The light indicates that the brushroll is spinning. If it isn't coming on, the power nozzle may have been reinstalled incorrectly. Take the nozzle off and then use my step-by-step guide to reinstall it. I expect that it will take care of the problem. ... Kirby Vacuums

My Eureka Atlantis Express is brand new - never used. I took it out of the box, read the manual, filled the soap and clean water tanks, put them in. I lifted the machine off the counter to take into the living room but all the water came running out of the bottom all over the kitchen floor. I can see where the little white plastic piece sticks up into the water release valve and lets the water out. How do you stop this? Can it be fixed?
