Having problems with your Vacuums ?

I have a Kenmore 116.36932 (upright-bagless vacuum) that the motor protector by-pass valve has opened. I've clean out the area between the agitator brush where the flexible extension hose starts. There was some blockage there. I checked the rest of the system (extenstion hose, back filter area, pipe area to canister and area to side filter. I took the 2 filters out and the by-pass valve is still open. Where else could there be a blockage that I can take apart to clean and put back together

I have a new bag in, checked the hoses for clogs have the motor cover off showing motor runs. Problem is vacuum has no suction in hose area, cover off where bag is and the air blows out of filter. hoses are clean no blockage.

Have you checked the filter? Many vacuums have a filter under or behind the bag to keep dust and dirt out of the motor. If this gets clogged the motor can't get any suction. Also look for holes in the hose or in the small segment between hose and bag ... Vacuums

I have a Dyson DC07 Yellow Vac, I use this vacuum professionally and clean it after every job so there is no issues with the filter which are replaced regularly. When you turn it on it makes a noise as if it were blocked....I have checked all pipes, hoses and now disassembled the machine to the point where the motor is out. I have found that a small rubber valve or bleed valve (Attached to the right hand detachable filter housing and activated via an internal spring) is popping when the vac

Poor Suction Heya! So I just picked up a used Dyson, but when I vacuum with it, the suction is pretty weak and it spits all kinds of stuff out the back and into my feet. When I pull the hose I have good suction, but in regular mode it hardly picks up anything. The brushes are spinning, and it eventually will clean an area if I go over it again and again. Maybe a clog somewhere? Please tell me that Dysons have better suction than my $50 Dirt Devil! Thanks!

I recently bought a second hand Dyson DC07. Its suction was poor. I removed all the un-clipable pipe bits and to remove any blockage but it all looked clear. The Final Sponge and hepper filter did have a lot of dust in it and the rotating brush was f ... Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

My vac has lost suction. When I vacuum it picks up very little, but when I remove the wand hose it has good suction. We have cleaned both filters, checked for blockage in all hoses & cleaned the beater bar brush. All to no avail. Is it the motor? Or is there a blockage deep in the vac somewhere? We're debating repair versus buying a new one. Hope you can help. Thanks.

I have a DC07 and the brush wasn't rotating and I had no suction at the brush but perfect suction through the hose. I noticed a large build up of dog hair around the brush so I took off the cover plate and removed all the hair, cleaned inside the floor/brush housing and cleaned out the hose. I also cleaned the filter and removed the other air access cover and made sure that they were clear. I put everything back and the brush still doesn't turn and there is still no suction through the bottom

I have a cannister (Animal something...) Today, it didn't sound right - like a blockage. I took out the filter - seemed OK; I looked for a blockage - found none. I continued to vacuum, but it wasn't picking up. Then, I stopped again, and I found a blockage (cat toy mouse) right at the end of the hose (attachment end.) I cleared, and I turned back on - nothing. Completely dead. It is one year old, just about exactly. Desperate, Sharon Tracy

I have a dyson dc21. All the sudden the hose is hardly suctioning up anything. If I take the canaster off, the top air hole suctions extrememly well, but when I place that canister back on, the suction is not going thru the hose and picking anything up. I have squeezed the hose, I feel no air leaking and do not feel any blockages...what could be wrong. It worked fine the other day and today, it won't pick up a piece of lint!

I was vacuuming my room and all of a sudden I hear this loud noise, then notice the roller brush isn't spinning. Thinking too much hair was caught I separated it from the rod and hose to clean it out, but noticed that the roller brush didn't move at all while I was cleaning it. I've cleaned the brush before and it would roll around with little effort, but this time I couldn't move it at all. Hello, could you help please. I have a Bissel ProHeat 9400-M. The water remains in the bladder when the machine is on, in other words nothing happens and I cannot clean with it. Inside the tank the small flap is in the open position. I have always used your products although I did run the Bissell over an area that had been cleaned with another product. Could that have caused the problem by blocking it somewhere? I have cleaned everything and cannot see a blockage. Thank you for your help.

I took mouth off and manipulated/pushed in that power press area that engages the motor on the front (not the switch on the back) and NOTHING! Not sure if motor died and/or what to do now. Help. I have had this baby for 15 years.

The front safety switch must be pushed in by either the hose or head (or manually), before the on/off switch will operate. The most common reason for no power is a bad cord. Second most common is worn carbons in the motor, and third is a bad switch. ... Kirby G4 Bagged Upright Vacuum
