Having problems with your Vacuums ?

It will not pick dirt on the floor lint or anything else. Checked all the hoses for leaks and clogs, and have nothing blocking the path way.

Answers :

Please check your hoses again. Run a broom stick handle through if necessary. Check the passage of air through the hose by applying suction from another machine ... like a ShopVac or similar. Somewhere, there is a clog.

How to disassemble the brush to empty anything that might be stuck inside of the brush? The motor seems to be overheating, all belts have been checked, all airways are clear and the filter is clean. The vacuum is vibrating and releasing a burning smell, but still sucking up dirt. There is nothing stuck on the outside of the brush, but is there a way to check inside of it to see if that is where a clog is occuring?

If there's a burning smell and the belts are fine, the problem is going to be hot wires causing the insulation to melt, or the motor going bad. Discontinue use and have it checked at a repair shop. ... Bissell 6594 PowerForce Bagless Upright Vacuum

Bissell 37604 Bagless Upright Vacuum. Hose keeps clogging every time I vacuum. Is there a way to prevent this? I am ready to buy a new vacuum, but it does do a great job picking up hair...until it clogs. It clogs at top of hose. Could the hose be kinked? It does not look like it.

That is a defect in the design of that style of vacuum. I went back to my old vac because I got so tired of having to unstop it. The sharp turns in the hose and the molded plastic causes it. Find one without the turns. ... Bissell 37604 Lift-Off Pet Bagless Upright / Canister Vacuum CleanerVacuum

Clogged Hose 8 Year old Electrolux Centralux Vacume Cleaner has a clogged hose. Seems something is lodged in the middle of the hose - about half way down. I have tried a "plumbers snake" with no luck, except to clean out some "lint Balls" bot not the obstruction that seems to be like a "nail or stick".

No suction I have the central vac type. It has no suction at the can. I pulled the hose going to the walls and tested there...and nothing. I removed the dirt can and checked the motor ...it is spinning but does not feel like any suction. I checked the exhaust and it is pushing strong air out. I also cleaned the filter and still nothing. Is there a relay or something that would cause only exhaust air. I emptied the can of dirt and put it back together and have absolutely no air.....hear the motor

Poor suction The actual sweeper seems to work ok, but the hose attachment has some suction but not enough to pick up things I think it should and not enough to make the power brush spin. I've checked everywhere I can for clogs, but I can't see anything. And there doesn't seem to be any way to check to hose itself for clogs. I've cleaned out the container and the filters, but there's still a problem.

Check the inlet down by the brush roll, make sure it is open, if it is then the hose itself must have a clog. If the hose comes off, drop something like a marble in one end and see it it comes out the other end, if it doesn't then you have a clog. ... My Bissell BS3920F upright (similar to the 10N6F) has been working wonderfully for the past 3 years but suddenly seems to not pick up dog hair as well as it used to. It has been pulled apart by my husband to ensure nothing is blocking the hoses etc and when running the suction seems to be there. It seems to grab the dog hair and leave it in a straight line directly under the unit without picking it up. I then disconnect the hose and use to hose to pick up the dog hair.
