I have a Napoleon Pellet stove insert Model NPI40. When the fire burn rate is extremely low it seems to operate normally. However, when I turn the heat up even a little I eventually get a high pitched noise that seems to be coming from the convection blower. Changing the speed of the blower has no effect on the noise level. I cleaned the blower but did not remove it. There was very little dust on it. Cleaning had no effect on the volum or pitch of the noise.

We have two of these vacuums and both of them have experienced the same problems. Last night as I was vacuuming, I noticed that the belt stop indicator light was on. I pulled out the hair that had gotten tangled around the brush in hopes of solving the problem. It didn't change things. I then unscrewed the entire bottom piece to take out the brush roller. I removed hair from the end piece of the brush roller and reattached the belt; however, I cannot figure out where the microchip is supposed to go so that I can reassemble the base piece by screwing it back together. How is the V-belt tension adjusted (Hoover Model U6439-900)or how do I know if the tension is correct? There seems to be a lot of "play" in the belt and I'm wondering if that is the reason the brush roll only turns as the wheels turn, regardless of the carpet height setting. And yes, the brush roll is set for carpet, not hard floor. Or is the cause of the problem something other than the V-belt?
