I am having problems with the roller on my Oreck DTX-1300. It turns on and off intermittantly while I'm vacuuming. I have completly taken it apart and cleaned and inspected the roller unit.(I am very much mechanically inclined) This has stumped me, I have checked the electrical from the vacuum to the floor unit, and everything else that I could think of. Question: what does the metal sensore plate on the bottom of the roller unit do?? Anything anybody can tell me, I would greatly appreciate. Cap

Hoover S3765 I have a Hoover S3765 (serial # 040600024465) and the unit stops working for no apparent reason. The light on top of the unit goes off when it shuts down, so I don't believe it's a problem between the hose, the tube and the floor unit. Sometimes I have to let it sit for over one hour before it will come back on. I've tried different electrical plugs too. Still won't turn on. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

If you light and nozzle motor both go off at the same time, you might have a bad power cord. Mine had this problem which I could verify by jiggling/twisting the cord near the strain relief on the nozzle. It would go on and off as I did this. ... Hoover S3765-040 WindTunnel Bagless Canister Vacuum

Hi I’ve got a Panasonic vacuum cleaner MC E468 1600W a few years old now but works well up to recent problem. Not picking up I checked the obvious things and found excessive air being sucked in around the hose housing at the back of the vacuum (as it enters the waste bag) On inspection it appears to me as if there should be some sort of gasket that may have perished and been sucked in, however I can’t identify any such part. Any thoughts on what the problem/solution may be will be appreciate

The hose on the back might be loose - check to see that the hose is not obstructing anything where it screws in at the back - or indeed the screws may be loose themselves; some of the MCE 468 models had an additional ring washer that sits between the ... Panasonic Vacuums

I have a Kirby Dual Sanitronic '50' Vacuum Cleaner I bought in 1966. The motor does not start when I attach the belt lifter of the rug nozzle. When I remove the rug nozzle and detach the belt from the motor fan shaft the motor starts when I depress the nozzle switch and the power switch . Seems like the brushes in the motor are worn out. I do not have a manual for this unit. Can you assist me as to what newer unit is this compatible to and the problem I'm having at present??

Then another small amount of water comes out when I push the handle in. I will assume that steam should come out when I push the handle in. Well, it do
