Having problems with your Vacuums ?

My overlocker is jammed with the needles in the down position - I have not used it for a while and hve just oiled and cleaned it.

Answers :

Oh man.

Not sure how to get it unjammed but I know that if overlockers/sergers aren't threaded properly they can jam up like that. The last time that happened to me... broken looper.

Open up the front and start clipping threads... Gently rock the hand wheel to see if it loosens as you get thread released.

Honestly I suspect that your machine has locked up because it's been knocked out of time. If you still have problems take it in and have it serviced.

I have a Hoover Wind Tunnel that has been used twice both times at Christmas to pick up pine needles. It really has never been used because my cleaning ladies come every week and use their own machine. The problem I have is that the machine just doesn't pick up anything. Can you help. It's not overuse that is the problem!

You may have the ductwork of the cleaner plugged up with the pine needles. First, unplug the hose from the cleaner and find if you have suction into the bag. If so, check the hose and ducts for blockage from the pine needles. ... Vacuums

Have oiled my Bernina 707 minimatic 1970 sewing machine and I have power when I press the foot pedal, but when the handwheel is tensioned none of the mechanism under the free arm cover plate moves. I went to sew something and the needle jammed. I took the covers off and there is no debris - it was all oiled and left overnight. Now the Take up lever doesn't move and is in the down position.

I got my bissell for $7.50 from a thrift store, if you can believe THAT. Used it for the first time today after reading the manual online first. After filling the clean water bladder full of hot water and setting everything up the way I wanted, proceeded to turn things on and go for it. Well, the water/solution just kept coming and coming, without my finger on the trigger. Obviously something is jammed in the open position but where? The trigger moves freely.

I have a Kenmore 385.19110 model machine, and the straight and zig zag stitches work just fine, but when I follow the directions in the manual to do a satin stitch (which is use the lowest stitch length) it creates a line that isn't perfect, or uniform, and after an inch or two stops catching the bobbin underneath. Have already tried reinserting the bobbin, rethreading the machine, refilling the bobbin, changing the bobbin, cleaning the needle, changing the tension. Wondering if I just got a mac

So, I was sewing along and heard a thump...kind of sounded like a louder version of what you hear when the needle hits a pin...but I wasn't using pins. This, of course, lead to the thread jamming so I had to clear that. When rethreading I pulled out the bobbin case to make sure it was seated correctly and found a kind of "v" shaped piece of wire (about the width of a paper clip I guess) sitting loose under the bobbin case. I took it out and threw it away. Still can't pull up the bobbin threa

Borrowed Brother XR7700 Sewing Machine 1st: Sewed one inch OK; moved fabric and it stopped sewing, motor made thudding noise. I removed the debris, but the door requires extreme pressure to open to permit the dirt, etc to moved up thru the opening , through the hose, etc. I thught maybe that somehow tg

When I was putting my new rug shampooer together and the directions said to press the trigger and the clean surge button until I heard a snap, I did just that many times and never did hear a snap so I thought it had likely happened and I didn't hear it so I proceeded to fill the solution tank and get busy but no solution came out so I used the clean surge button instead and got the job done (I think). I have a Sunbeam Model Number 4065-000 and there is white particles comming out of the holes in the bottom. I think it is because we used tap water and there is a lot of deposits in the water. I read on the box that it was ok to use tap water and not distilled water. Is ther any way to clean the inside out to get the deposits cleaned out without affecting the possibility of doing something to the cloths that I will iron after cleaning the iron?
