I have a Panasonic MCV7515 UPRIGHT VACUUM and need to remove the cowling that covers the brushes to clean the hair out of the bearings, but it isn't clear how that can be done without a crowbar or sledgehammer. Removing all the visible screws makes the hindmost part loose, but not the front half. Also, is there an easy way to replace the belt?

Stuck Roller Same problem here. I think in our case, the accumulation of hair and the increasing resistance the hair created over time caused the hair to start melting, and eventually the end cap was stuck to the roller, which prevented the roller from turning. I cleaned out the melted hair(?) as best I could, but I think I need to order a new roller and end caps.

My Dyson Aminal Vacuum simply will not turn on. I plugged it in this morning, pressed the power button- and nothing. No warning sounds, simply silence. Sigh. I just bought the LG200R vacuum. It is working wonderfully but i have only had it a week. I have already had to clean the agitator but this is due to my extremely long hair and apparently i shed a lot. I was wondering if i should be alarmed by the funny smell it leaves in the air. Its not like a burning rubber smell but more like a fresh plastic smell or sorta chemical like smell (hard to describe) and it doesn't need to be on to make this smell it seems to be permeating off the vacuum itself

Folks, My wife and I own a three-year-old Hoover U6434-900 self-propelled "Wind Tunnel" upright vacuum cleaner. The problem is that, even on the highest setting (front-end as high as possible), it gets bogged-down in even shallow pile carpet to the point that the brush stops. I've cleaned the machine thoroughly, pulling hair, thread, dental floss and such from the brush (and everywhere else), including unscrewing the brush end caps and pulling out the cat hair mats which formed in there.
