My dc 05 isnt working and i cant understand why , i have cleaned all filters etc and i also changed the fuse on the plug , which after i didi that it attempted to start but then jus cut out again so i thought the fuse had blown again , so i checked the fuse but its working fine could there still be a blockage somewhere in it or is it something electrical which means my dyson has to go to the dump :(

Most common cause of this problem is a wire broken inside the flex, usually either just where it leaves the plug (easy to fix) or at the other end (more of a problem). In either case, this is no reason to dump the machine - it can be fixed at a fract ... Dyson DC05 Cylinder Bagless Canister Cyclonic Vacuum

Kirby Sentria Hi, I have a new Sentria & used it for the first time today. It was going fine & then I could smell smoke & it started to make a loud noise so I turned it off quickly. If I turn it on it immediately starts making the noise again & I can see it is all lit up inside like something is burning or sparking. I have checked the roller & it is moving & I have checked the fan which is moving & doesn't appear to be damaged in anyway. This product is from the US & we are in the UK & we are us

Sounds like the motor burned up. not sure if travel adapters will handle a large load like a motor, around 8 or amps. power needs in US are 110 volts ac, 60 hertz.I believe UK is 220 volts and 50 hertz. usually when a vac is brought to eu ... Kirby Vacuums

Burned smell hi, I have used my hoover 4 times and is starting to smell as something burned, I checked the troobleshouting part of the owner manual and it says that check the belt, I already did that and everything is ok I used the hoover again and still smelling bad and start to work very slow I better shut off it.. what could I do??

Its sounds to me like the computer board inside the machine has gone bad. Keep in mind that the filters in these machine do need to be replaced regularly to keep the vacuum working correctly. Any good vacuum shop should be able to fix your problem. R ... Windsor SR12 Sensor Bagged Upright Vacuum

Low suction I have a Hoover central vacuum system. I've reset the fuse box, checked the fuses, all of the lines are clear and there are no holes for escaped air to travel out. The filter has been cleaned as well. The vac works well with high suction when hooked directly to the unit, however when using any of the indoor connections there is extremely low suction. The machine still turns on so I do not believe it is an electronic issue. I have troubleshooted the issue as best I could and would

My Hoover T5703 has suddenly stopped working. I was using it, moved it to another room, presssed the start with my foot - and nothing! I have checked that the fuse and electricity socket are both OK.I did knock it over a while ago and am wondering if I have broken a bit of plastic in the foot starter. It doesn't seem to 'click' as firmly as it did, but I cannot see how to take it off to check?

I have a Miele s251i vacuum that was working just fine until I umplugged it (while running) and re-plugged it in at a closer socket. When I replugged it, it started for a second and then stopped. Roomba My Scheduler started making a "grinding" noise every now and then until one day it just started grinding and then stopped (I could restart the unit, however it repeated the grinding and stopping). I have checked the wheels and all of the gears appear to be in good order. I have a hunch the brush motor may be stripped. Any opinions? Thanks: RAnderson

My purple Dyson Animal (without the ball) isn't working correctly. When I turn it on, the red power light, as well as the medium pile buttons flashes. When I first turn it on, the brush rotates for 3 to 5 seconds, then once I start moving the vacuum, it stops and that's when the lights start flashing. I've checked the filters, they are dry and installed correctly. What could be the problem?

Low suction I have an Electrolux central vac that is approx. 11 yrs old. the suction is very low. this started about 1 week ago. I checked the hose and it is clear. I also went into the attic and checked the pipes(as far as I could see them) and they appeared to be intact.

1) Have you checked the filter? If it is clogged your suction will be low. Also, you could have a pipe loose where you can't see. Make sure that you can get a coin to go all the way through the hose. make sure the suction motor ( the unit ) is coming ... Electrolux Central Vacuum

It starting to put out a hot type smell. I have tried cleaning the filters real well and even tried to see if there was problem with the ozone filter. We have checked and could not find a jam. I know the hose has excellent suction. The vacumn works but the intelliclean sensors will not. It only takes about 15 seconds or so for the odor to start. Then it gets real strong and it makes my eyes water

Hi,The hot smell could be from the belt or the motor. Turn it on for a moment, turn it off, then flip it on its side and smell the belt that drives the brush. Infinity Vaccum by Shark, model number NV31COS, will not start. The vacuum was running just fine until it grabbed the edge of a curtain. Turned it off to release the suction. Turned it back on and was working fine. About a minute later the vacuum was making an odd noise. Every 2 seconds or so it would "heave" (lack of a better word) then go away, then come back and so on. After using the vac for 10 minutes or so, the motor starts turning on and off with greater frequency the longer I let it run. Eventually it is on and off so frequently that it has no power. No it dosen't. I fix central vacs all the time and relays usally don't do what you described. They either go out all the way and won't turn on or they will trip and you will have to push the breaker back in. What is probably happening is you have a s ... Electrolux Centralux Vacuum
