Our unit is 7024A Electrolux Oxygen 3 - it seems to work great but suddenly, the head or 'power brush' or whatever it is called - has died. I checked by removing the hose and plugging it directly into the body, but it is still dead. Without that motorized head working, the vacuum is useless. Is it worth replacing? The unit is only about 1 year old and has seen light use only. Very frustrating, since it was the most expensive unit in the store:(

I have an Electrolux LITE upright carpet cleaner - about 15 years old. Suddenly last night when using it, from the normal motor (whooshing) sound, the motor suddenly went very slow and with a slight grinding sound. I need a new motor for my electrolux 1590 machine. What is the difference between a 2 stage & a 3 stage motor?

I fear the motor has failed on my Electrolux Oxygen EL6988D. Just six months after the warranty expired, I was vacuuming when it suddenly stopped. There was no blockage in the tube and it wasn't working hard or long . . . it just stopped. I looked around the Internet and it appeared that many similar Electrolux units have a fuse. I hoped my problem might just be a blown fuse, so I took the machine apart. There are two small printed circuit boards, but no fuse. There is an in-line

Hello, I have an Electrolux vacuum. In desperation, I vacuumed up some water and my machine stopped. I am hesitant to take the machine to a repair place for fear that if it is a simple repair they will not be honest. Can anyone give me advice on whether this is a problem that requires a new motor or major repair? Thank you!
