My Dyson DC 24's beater bar switch didn't actuate and the beater bar didn't turn. When I brought it to a certified serviceman he told me that a wire interferred with the switch and all he had to do was move the wire out of the way of the switch. At the time the machine was under warrantee and it didn't cost me anything. Now however, the machine is out of warrantee and the problem has returned. Does anyone know how to access the switch and move the wire out of the way?

My Electrolux Epic 6500 SR will not turn off by pressing on the switch button. I took it apart and removed the switch assy. I can maunually turn it off & on by pressing the rocker arm on the switch assy. It appears that the problem is with the big blue operator button, not the switch assy itself. If you can make it work by holding the switch down then it must be the switch or a bad connection on it.
