Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

When removing the canister bag, the plate and spring that it slides into popped out. When I put them back in, the bag full indicator is completely red. It is a new bag and filters. I think I am not getting the plate and spring back in the canister correctly. Any instructions or pictures showing proper insertion and configuration of these? I looked in the manual and the part is only shown while bag being inserted.

I have a Hoover U5111-900 that, every time I attempt to use it, shoots everything it should be sucking up, back out toward my feet. I have replaced the bag, pulled out lots of animal hair and such from the area behind the bag, and taken off all parts able to be removed without a screwdriver and pulled out all chunks of hair, dirt, etc. It still keeps shooting everything it should **** up out the back. Is there something I can remove to get the clog out if that's the problem? I'm scared I wil

I have a Flotec shallow well FP4122-08. A burglar stood on the pump this summer to gain access to my goats building (window). There's a small black tube that came off at both ends. When I put the tube back on, it shoots right back off as soon as the pump is plugged in. I don't know the name of the part (tube) to order a new one, and I don't know if it just plugs onto the fittings of both ends, or goes into the pump at the end with the round fitting on it.

I am getting very little suction from the motor. The hose is clear, the bag new. When I open the bag cover, plug the hose in and turn the vacuum on, there is next to no suction from the motor. What do you think is wrong? How do I remove the cord retractor to get to the two screws that hold the back of the canopy cover?

Your problem is probably is you don't have a proper seal in your chasis. A vacuum has to be sealed tight or the air will leak out and the seal broken. Check around the whole body after the bag is in and check for any airflow noise. I could help more ... Vacuums

Hi, I have a Dirt Devil Model # M08100REDC. I desperately need to change the bag, but I don't see an obvious way to do it. I'm afraid to try pulling on the cloth tab thingy that's just below the handle, between the rubber ring that holds the bag on the vac, because it seems like stuff will fly everywhere from the force required to remove it, and I might not be able to get it back on there. Should I just pull on that cloth tab until the bag comes off? Thanks, Roberta

You can pull on the tab to remove the bag, but probably a better way is to gently pull on the rubber ring that attaches the bag to the back of the vacuum body. If you don't yank and ****, it should come off without spilling the dirt. There may also b ... Dirt Devil Classic M08100 Bagged Handheld Vacuum

The hose works great, but the head of the vaccuum does not pick up anything !!! I checked every opening that may have been clogged, but nothing came up. When I hold my hand under the brush/roller, it seems to be putting out more air than intaking air. Particles "dance" on the carpet, but don't get "sucked up" into the vaccuum ? I have had the vaccuum only 1 year, so the brushes should not be a problem. I changed the bag, and checked the belt. The belt and brushes seem to be OK. ?

How do I get the bobbin holder to ...a...hold the bobbin, and b...make it stay in the machine, ..well, it obviously attaches in one way only, and I cannot find that way!? Thanks, Yvonne.

The needle is to the left and back of center, frequently hitting the plate and breaking. The hoop came unsnapped while embroidering, and caused needle to bend, stopping the machine. That was no doubt when the shaft that holds the needle became askew. How do I reposition it? I don't see an appropriate category listed below.
