Oreck XL21 just will not work at all any more. Beater is clean - belt is fine. Fresh bag - inflates. Took the thing apart - checked for blockages at intake, bag entry, and the tube. It just doesn't vacuum anything. No suction at all for anything stronger than air. I'd say it doesn't ****, but that would be ironic. Are these known for just "quitting" after a while? We take it in for maintenance as recommended to replace filters, etc. Is there some miracle trick to make it work or sho

I have a Kenmore Progressive model 116.22812204 purchased 2003. The swivel (part nuumber 8195133) that attaches the extension wand to the power mate attachment snapped, so I can't keep the parts connected. I can order a replacement part on-line, but I don't know how to replace it - is it difficult to take apart the power-mate and replace this part? Do you have instructions on how to do it? Thanks!

Wondering if the head is plugged up because it makes a sound like air is escaping somewhere. I've replaced the original cloth bag with a comparable "O" paper bag from Sears. I tried to see if there was a clog in the hose by placing a broom handle in the hose to see if something would loosen. I also cleaned the filter and the air filter. If the head is plugged, how can I fix it? We can't get the vacuum apart. Thanks.

I have a Kirby Heritage II which normally works amazingly well, but it's not playing at all nicely today - and of course we have apartment inspections tomorrow. *dies* The belt broke today (as did the replacement belt, which I'd bought at the same time, so apparently the rubber was old), so I went over to Stark's to get some new ones - but it still won't cooperate. I've taken the head apart and put it back together several times, to be sure that everything is properly seated, but it's just not

** suction The best way to describe it is that when I was vacuuming I could see dust clouds at the front of the vacuum where the light is swirling around in the air. It was like it was blowing dust around instead of picking it up. I checked the tubing and found that it was clogged with some paper and hair ***** etc.... So I cleaned it out and tried it again and it still was not picking up properly. I had my husband take all the tubing apart to check for other clogging and there was none. When I
