\015\012How do I replace the vacuum bag in my Kirby Ultima?
\015\012Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There is a cardboard collar on the Kirby bag and all you need to do is to pull off the cardboard collar and replace it with a new bag by hooking the bottom of the Kirby intake and then push on the top part onto the fill tube. You can always check the Kirby owner’s manual under troubleshooting or you can call the Kirby factory listed below. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Unbeknownst to me, someone took the bag out of my Kenmore Progressive vacuum and failed to replace it. I have been vacuuming without a bag for months, and today the vacuum stopped sucking. When I opened up the front to replace the bag, tons of dirt and dust came pouring out. I thoroughly cleaned the vacuum, put in a new bag, but still no sucking power. Just dust coming from the rear vents where one of the filters is. Is the vacuum ruined, or is it a simple solution of buying a new filter?

Sounds like you need to buy a new motor. All that grit and dust will ruin a motor and I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.\015\012This is where a vacuum that won't run without a bag would have been nice. (Aerus for one) ... Kenmore 31913 Progressive Direct Drive Bagged Upright Vacuum

I have 2 Hoover Wind Tunnel-self propelled bagged vacuums-U6433-900 model. The roller bar does not agitate, the self propelled feature does not work and, in general, the vacuum is not performing well. I have replaced the roller bar, the v belt and the wide belt. The filters have been replaced and it has a new bag. I have had both of these since 2004 and they were fairly expensive $200 each) but if the repairs are prohibitive, I might as well get new vacuums. Suggestions? I just spent $100 for bel

Kirby Vacuum Hi Bruce, In my opinion, yes the Kirby would be worth it, as long as you are not replacing the motor. The switch would be the most expensive part besides the motor that would need to be replaced. The switch costs USD 49.99, the cord is roughly $39.99, and the carbon brushes are $29.99. I can easily walk you through any of these repairs should you need help. Kirby's are great vacuum cleaners, that usually last 30+ years. Brand new these machines sell in the US for $1600 or more,

While vacuuming the red light for the bag of the vacuum came on and the vacuum stopped. The bag was no where near full so I replaced it with a new bag - same problem. It vaccumes for a minute or then stops with bag light on. It is the correct bag for the machine - so what's the problem?

I'm assuming this is the Epic 6500 or similar model.\015\012Detach the hose, turn vacuum on. If it runs, place palm of hand against inport hole. If it shuts off the problem is with either the control valve setting or the control valve assembl ... Electrolux Vacuums

The vacuum leaks dust around the joint between the bag and the vacuum. I unlatched the bag, removed and emptied it, and replaced it. However, the vacuum still leaks dust around the joint and the bag keeps working loose. How can I make sure that the bag is securely latched so that it does not leak or come loose? I have no manual. Thanks.
