I'm using Miele Medivac vacuum and I just sucked in a small plastic eye drop container by accident(I sometimes take off the brush part to **** in 'small enough' articles). And it is jammed in the part where the plastic hose connector bends. I think I can take it out if I can just disconnect the long necked plastic hose connector that connects the metal wand part and the hose part. Is it designed to be disconnected or should I not even try it?

Clogged vacuum Rather stupidly, my boyfriend 1) were vacuuming without a bag and 2) vacuumed up a big piece of cotton from a sofa cushion. And now it's making a horrible noise and I see it vibrating where the tube connects to the machine. When you look inside there's a white thing sticking out but it looks like it's part of the vacuum. If it's a clog, how do you fix it? I tried unscrewing the tray the bag sits in but it won't budge.
You can start by taking off the bottom plate or top cover, which ever comes off, that is where the inlet starts going in and hopefully the clog is there. Could be in the hose also. I was trying to repair my wife's kitchenaid mixer and took part of it apart, including the back part, where the electrical connections are. The original problem was the plastic gear was damaged -- I finally had the good sense to find the solution for that problem on the internet and replaced the damaged part. But now the mixer just won't turn on. I don't think I damaged anything in the electrical section, but I suspect I either blew a fuse or somehow disconnected something.

I have a Eureka 4800 series the Boss upright with a bag and Hepa filter. I love it! I was just vacuuming with the hose part and all was well and then suddenly the lower brush came on and a "burning" smell followed. Thought it was the belt so my husband was going to put on the new belt which I had on hand! When he turned it over, the "bar" that holds the belt looks as though it "shot through" the plastic side of the housing on the vacuum. There is melted plastic on the outside of the vacuum and o

I was in the middle of using my vacuum when it quite on me. I tried multiple things including letting it cool off for a while as I was using it to vacuum my car outside and it was pretty hot. The vacuum is not that old; we have only had it for a few months. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank You, Karen

Rainbow SE I turned the vacuum on and it worked to do one room Then I shut it off to wait until my husband got of his call. I realized that their was cloggage in the vacuum part that vacuums the carpet and unclogged it. I then tried to turn on and it was dead. I have the water filled just above the stick.
The clog may have over heated the motor, usually if you unplug it then after little while, try it again. If it still won't go, does the separator turn easily or is it bound up and won't turn. Take it off and see if the motor will run(without water) ... Rainbow E series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum
Hello, I have a problem with my Eureka Powerline bagged upright vacuum. It has a 12 amp motor and is model #4352, Type D. It was probably bought new in 1998. My problem is, while vacuuming today the motor seemed to slow down all of the sudden and then began smelling like burning rubber. I shut the vacuum off to check for blockages but could not find anything blocked. When I then turned it on again it runs but seems to only be running at 1/2 the motor speed and still has the rubber buring smell.
It sounds like a rubber sealing in the motor has come loose and is being constantly rubbed against the walls of the motor with would cause the smell and loss of motor speed caused by the fricton of rubber against the rod so if you can get to the moto ... Vacuums
