My Dyson DC24 sucked in a backpack strap and tripped. I then decided to pull out the brush and clean off whatever else happened to be clung onto it and put it back in. The darn thing doesn't turn anymore. Everyone says to push the reset button in until a click is heard but I put in a bit of force and I haven't heard a click so I stopped because I didn't want to break it. Is there something I haven't checked or do I keep adding force?

No suction Hello - any help with this would be much appreciated! I just changed the bag and filters. The machine runs, seems normal, but there is no suction. There is no blockage of the hose, as indicated by the fact that that little viewer window above where the hose connects to the unit is not showing the red portion that it shows when there is something blocking the hose (god, this is hard to describe!). If I disconnect the hose and put my hand over the hole, I feel some suction. But

Well, it actually sounds like there is a blockage. Try removing your hose and dropping something through it, like a quqrter. If it comes through, no clog. If it is clogged, I believe that machine has a blower on the upper part of the cleaner (mayb ... Miele S514 Solaris Electro Plus Vacuum

I have Optima, 12amp Eureka vacuum, Model 431, AXZ type and the extension hose for cleaning corners and edges --the plastic part that the attachments fit into has a piece broken off and tools don;t fit anymore. Bissell Pro Heat 7901 will spay through hose but not the floor and red flow indicator will not spin. So we took the housing off and after unclogging a hose running to the hearter, my husband unhooked the hose that goes to the flow indicator, blew in it and it started spinning. Put the deep cleaner back together, tried to use it and nothing. What else can we try? Can't afford to put it in the shop right now. Thanks in advance.

I just got the majestic and it doesn't seem to have a lot of suction power- I ran water thru the hose and it drained out fine I also put the hose on top and blew it out. Could it still be the hose?-or does it sound like a bigger problem?

Did you change the filter cone? Clogged pores can and do inhibit airflow. Bent fan blades can be another problem. Holes, slits, and cracks, no matter how small, in the hose can result in reduced suction.\015\012And you should NEVER run water ... Filter Queen Majestic Canister Vacuum

Wondering if the head is plugged up because it makes a sound like air is escaping somewhere. I've replaced the original cloth bag with a comparable "O" paper bag from Sears. I bought a Kenmore canister vacuum, model 116, in April 2007. This morning, the sound of the motor suddenly began to deepen, and I began to lose suction. Normally, if something is clogging the hose, the motor will wind up to a higher pitch, not a lower one. The filters are clean, the bag is empty, and I can't detect anything lodged in the hose. If this were a car's engine, I would say it's "lugging down". Any pointers?
