We have a Singer 626 sewing machine. It's an old mechanical machine with heavy metal parts. The stitch selector was stuck, I removed the top and helped the selector to move. when I had to move the selector again, it was stuck and I pushed too hard and broke a component. I can fix the machine if I had a repair manual. I need to buy a repair manual. How and where can I get one? Thankjs Charlie PS. Im pretty mechanicly inclined and I was able to clean the machine and get it to work after

I have the Janome 6600 P. Beginning a seam the thread knotted and the machine made noise and needle would not move either up or down. I manually moved the needle using the handwheel and cut away the knotted thread. I began sewing again but instead of starting at the edge began about a half inch down, forward stitched, reversed to lock threads and problem repeated and received the message to "Stop for safety purposes". Did that. Referred to the manual, tried manual recommendation. Did not work. I

G-5 Kirby self-propel works intermitently. The handle must be jiggled until it engages forward. The same for reverse. Once underway it will continue indefinitely until the need to change direction. Jiggle go forward, jiggle go in reverse. It seems as though it helps to push the handle at an angle to the left depressing the switch on the left side at the base of the vacuum head.

Sounds like a loose wire, the wire is connected to the handle, you may be able to fix this yourself but be careful you can void the warranty by doing it your self. (most people make the problem worse) remember your kirby has a lifetime warranty (limi ... Kirby Ultimate G Bagged Upright Vacuum

My Singer portable (#6202/62120) keeps stitching nicely on top, but the bottom stitching is all knotted up! It's driving me crazy! I have tried everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jennie

The bottom side is effected by the TOP tension. First make sure the top is threaded correctly. Best thing to do is completely unthread it and then thread it again. Then check the tension and make sure it is not too loose. Check the needle to make ... Singer Vacuums

Yesterday I was sewing with it and everything was working perfectly, today, when I got home, I plugged in the sewing machine and started sewing, just to see that the bottom stitch is completely loose. It's making this loose loops instead of stitches? I didn't change a knob or anything from working with it yesterday to today, so I don't understand how it all of a sudden doesn

I was replacing the belt on my Eureka Smartvac 4870 and one of the felt gaskets (or part of it) popped out. I thought I put it in correctly, but the first I used it after replacing the belt, the gasket got mangled by the brush. I'm wondering how important it is to get fixed; is it a part I can pick up anywhere and fix myself? Thanks for the help.

I'm no expert but if you mean the felt on the roller, you have to replace the roller (expensive, esp. for such a minor part). So. I found some felt with adhesive in the craft section at Wal-Mart, trimmed it to fit and done deal. Felt reduces friction. ... Eureka Smartvac 4870 Bagged Upright Vacuum

Singer 327 lower bobbin thread is wild and loopy after I sew...top stitch fine. Just changed to a large thread spool with the heavy remote base and crook to carry thread to machine and wonder if this changed tension (set at 4 and correctly threaded)? It had been working fine in zigzag but I also went back to reg foot and set stitch width at 0, center needle set. Thanks for your input and help. Deanna

Hoover F5809 Hello, I seen a few of your post and was hoping you could help me. I just became a member today. My sister gave me her old Hoover Steam Vac-Model F5809. This thing is so dirty and clogged because my sister has pets. So far I've gotten it all taken apart to clean it. I'm not a newbie and taking apart and fixing things. I have fixed things like microwaves, washers, dryers, dishwashers (still learning about TV's-very hard, hehe). Anyway, I got what I believe to be the motor cover off.

That cover is the called the fan cover and is usually pressed on. Tapping on the edge with a flat blade, you may be able to get it off and hope you don't bend it up, you will to put it back on tight enough so it will stay in place. Another thing to ... Vacuums
