When taking the handle/wand back to use it seems to lose the suction power regardless of what setting I use. Upon several times of standing it back up it seems to engage the suction power correctly is there a button or something that does not always engage to get power? can I fix it

I cleaned out my brush in the bottom front, cleaned out the small tubing going into the canister, and the canister itself. I also changed the filter.I snapped everything back into place, but Since then, it doesn't seem to have any suction and there seems to be a space between the canister and the bottom of the vacumm where the canister sits. At that area, you can feel air coming out when trying to vacumm and it just doesn't pick up, it seems to be just blowing stuff around.

I also have a Hoover upright and I need to replace the electrical cord. I have dimantled the back, where the tools are stored, and the hose. I still cannot find the screws or whatever, to get to the area behind the cord, so I can replace it. I think I will have to take off the bottom too. Has anyone out there tried to do this? It seems crazy. This machine works great so I hope I can also put it back together. Thanks for the help.

Generation 4 Apparently, my belt came off while vacumming. I had a lot of hari entwind on the roller, so cleaned off the hair.... but now I can't seem to get the belt to stay "in place". Is it supposed to move around on the brush? or be held in place? It seems to me when I try to get the hook to grab ahold of the belt, it is going tohe wrong way to grab it. Please HELP!

I have a Miele S1721 Powerhouse upright vacuum. When the belt broke I took it into the shop (because when i tried to replace the belt, the tension was so tight I couldn't get it back together!!). When I got it home I DISCOVERED THAT THE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT DIDN'T WORK anymore. It seems like it's set really hight, because it no longer contacts and brushes the carpet. So it's now useless. I went back to the shop and the tech denied that there was anything wrong. (I didn't have the vac with me). No

Windtunnel belt I have a new Hoover Windtunnel canister. The belt keeps coming off. It happened a couple weeks ago (several times after putting the belt back on) so I assumed I might need a new belt as it might have dried out at the store. I ordered new belts and today I used it for about an hour and the belt came off again, twice. There doesn't seem to be anything to hold the belt on the stem as it seems to slip off. I took the cover off the brush so I could cut off all the hair that was wrapped around it (vacuum was working fine, I just noticed the hair). I pulled the brush/spinner thing off one side, cleaned everything, popped it back in where it belonged, and tried to make sure the belt was in the proper alignment. However, when I turned the vacuum on, it makes a horrible noise like I'm sucking up rocks. What have I done wrong in putting it back together? It seemed simple...

Floor Attachment I took off my floor attachment, but now the belt seems to be off and I can't seem to get it back on right. I can't use the attachment and I don't know why it's so hard to figure this out. They say, just turn it to belt off, but when i turn it it lift's it up and can't line up with the belt off label. Good day, I took off the cover on a proheat upright, to install the suction diverter flap. Guy at the shop told me I had to do this but I don't think it was really necessary. Hi, I have a Dirt Devil Model # M08100REDC. I desperately need to change the bag, but I don't see an obvious way to do it. I'm afraid to try pulling on the cloth tab thingy that's just below the handle, between the rubber ring that holds the bag on the vac, because it seems like stuff will fly everywhere from the force required to remove it, and I might not be able to get it back on there. Should I just pull on that cloth tab until the bag comes off? Thanks, Roberta

You can pull on the tab to remove the bag, but probably a better way is to gently pull on the rubber ring that attaches the bag to the back of the vacuum body. I have a Eureka 5902AVZ and the brushroll does not work. when i remove the belt, which is not torn nor worn out, the motor spins perfectly fine. Though when i put the brushroll back into place, it shows that the motor is trying to spin, but with resistance. it seems the brushroll will not spin if locked into place, because there is no attachment on the left side of the brushroll that will allow it to spin freely with the belt. am I missing some parts or is there something else wrong?

Water leak I just bought this steamer a few days ago, and already I am having problems, when I fill the water tank that your suppost to fill the water runs out before I even turn the machine on.
