I have a 6 gallon shop wet or dry vac. The dust and dirt comes out around the base of the motor fin, not around the tank top. Now what? Oh I lost the filter around the drum that holds the ball, so I wrapped a rag around it and made it secure. Respectively: TOM

For the first time, I tried using my Kirby Sentria shampoo attachment. I've lost the manual but found instructions online for making the swap from regular vac to shampoo-er and got it all assembled. The foam laid down just fine, however, when I run the vac back over the foam to pick it up, there is not a stitch of water showing up in the tray. First I thought maybe it was bc I hadn't put that much of the foam/water onto the carpet, but 12 hours later, the carpet is still wet in spots. Clearly

I have an old Shop Vac model 3331.5. This is a 12 gallon 1.5 hight peak shop vac with a detachable blower. After many years I decided to use the blower feature, but have lost the lost the manual. Question; how do I attach the hoses to the blower? The motor has that cap on it the direct the flow of air in one direction and the wide hoses do not fit over it. I may be missing a part, but I would think the directional cap would have to come off anyway.

Shop Vac Can I **** water with a 4.5 12 gallon Shop Vac into the main cannister or is there another connection? DO you use the same one for both wet and dry??

You **** up water the same way as dirt. It's designed this way, hence the name wet/dry. Just be sure not to get the water in the very top of the unit where the motor sucks the air for cooling ventilation, if water gets in there it can burn up the mot ... Shop Vac 925-13 Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum

I have a 10 gallon Shop.Vac 3.0 but I don't have the instruction booklet. Do I take off the pleated "paper" filter to vacuum up water? Do I use the vac with no filter for liquid?

Yes you should remove the filter for liquids. If the filter is not removed the internal float stop will not operate correctly. This will lead to the liquid being drawn up into the impeller and around the motor. However I still like to have somet ... Shop Vac ShopVac 3 HP 2 Stage 10 Gallon--Automotive Wet/Dry Vacuum Vacuum

We have a series 90S, 2.5 gallon Shop Vac. We used it for the first time to try and **** up water in the basement. Each time we turned it on, it would shut down after collecting less than 1" of water. We had to remove and squeeze out the foam sleeve each time, before it would work again (nowhere near 2.5 gallons!). Any ideas? Is the plastic sleeve that can move up and down inside, the float (poorest manual I've ever seen!)? Should there be a ball float that we're missing? Thanks for any s

Remove the foam sleeve when using the unit to pick up water.\015\012The float is in there to indicate when the unit has "enough" water in it. The float rises with the amount of water and when the water reaches a certain height the float is "pulled" ... Shop Vac Vacuums

I just bought a shop vac to **** up the winter slop in the garage. the first time I used it, it worked perfectly but the 2nd and 3rd times I used it, it spits water from the exhaust. Why? It doesn't seem to have a plug/clog and I have the foam sleeve plus the circular paper filter on it, as per directions. Help!

My shop vac blows dust as soon as it's turned on and throughout use. I have changed filters, nothing is helping. What part of my vac can not get wet, or is there a better way to clean out the system?

I have changed the filter and the bag, which did not solve the problem. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?
