My Dyson Animal has good suction and works fine for actually picking up dirt, but when I use the vacuum with the roller, I hear a grinding/rumbling noise. Its only when I use the vacuum with the brush rotating. It does not happen hen I shut the roller brush off. The belt is fine. I cannot figure out what is wrong as there are no clogs, debris, or foreign objects stuck in the brush or in the belt. The noise seems to be the only issue. The vacuum picks up fine. It just doesn't sound right a

If I take the canaster off, the top air hole suctions extrememly well, but when I place that canister back on, the suction is not going thru the hose and picking anything up. I have squeezed the hose, I feel no air leaking and do not feel any blockages...what could be wrong. It worked fine the other day and today, it won't pick up a piece of lint!

I havethe first generation purple Dyson Animal model. The brush rotates fine, but doesn't make sufficient contact with the floor/carpet, therefore does not pick up most items on carpets (suction still works however). If I put my foot on it and push down a little, it works. However, since I'm not an accomplished acrobat, this is not easy to do. :-) Any suggestions on whether this is fixable? Or should I just save up to buy a new one?

I have a Dyson all-floor model (not the ball). I recently replaced my carpet to a Frieze. Since replacing the carpet, the Dyson is extremely hard to push. It almost forms a "seal" with the carpet. My Dyson DC17 has lost suction on the wand and is not picking up dirt as it should. I have taken the small part at bottom of the machine off to see if there is a blockage--none that I can see. The flexible tube on wand is very tight and won't extend very much. Dyson sent me a new cyclonic part in April but the machine still doesn't seem to be working properly. My serial number is 260-us-d11545. Is there somewhere I can take my Dyson to get it fixed. I'm very frustrated with it. Thank you.
