I have a Royal 7910 extractor and even though I vacuum before cleaning the carpet, by black cocker spaniel's hair gets pulled into the plastic pick-up attachment and I cannot find an easy way to clean it out. I have tried taking the screws out to separate the halves, but it seems as though they might be glues together. I have run water from a sink sprayer though the openings with some degree of success, but it still is pretty cruddy. I have tried snaking pipe smokers pipe cleaners up the pick

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.
I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
I have a Kenmore canister vacuum - model 25614506. Some time ago, I was not able to turn the vacuum off with the on/off switch, but could still use the vacuum. Turned if off/on by pulling the plug. The other day when I went to plug it in, I heard a pop. Now the sweeper runs but the vacuum cleaner does not **** - no air flow. What could be the problem. The cleaner is only 4 years old.

I have a Kenmore vacuum cleaner model #116.34720. The problem I am having is that if you are rolling the vacuum around, the base will drop without pressing on the handle release pedal. This often results in a bunch of dirt being dumped back out. The manual doesn't show anything about adjusting the handle release pedal so it holds the handle and base in an upright position better. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I am replacing a foot pedal on an upright Sharp vacuum cleaner-EC-TU2607. I have the broken foot pedal removed from vacuum cleaner proper but it is the removal of the broken pedal from its spring load that has me puzzled. I applied some pulling effort on the pin that holds the spring in place but there doesn't seem to be any give. Is that the correct approach or is there something else that one should be doing first to release some of the resistance by the pin or spring? Thanks!

Electrolux 5500 The cord on my vacuum cleaner won't retrack. What is the trick to get the back end off the vacuum cleaner? It looks like it was pulled out too far.
Depends on which model you have, but most of them you take off the center section, then you cab get to the 2 screws on top , and there is a screw on the bottom, then the back end will pull off. But I wouldn't try taking the cord reel apart, if that ... Electrolux Lux 5500 Canister Vacuum
My dyson vacuum cleaner doesn't seem to have the same suction power it used to. I have cleaned out the canister and have taken apart the vacuum head (for cleaning carpets) and it doesn't seem to be blocked but it seems to lose suction by the time it reaches the head. The suction is strong at the end of the hose (where you attach the telescopic attachment with vacuum head) Any ideas? Thanks, Irene
I have just purchased two (2) Electrolux Nimble vacuum cleaners. Not one, but both, straight out of the box, the beater bars will not run. It turns on, select carpet, and lower the handle, the red light to check beater bar/or filter lights up. You can reset the light by unplugging the unit, then plugging it back in, but with same results. Now the kicker, if you take out the handle, select carpet, lower the body by the carry handle, it will run and operate correctly, however, as soon as you r
Miele S5000 (revolution 5000) vacuum cleaner - How do I open the casing? When the power button on the handle is pressed the green power-level lights on the handle light, but the motor sounds like it gives a little 'jump' but nothing more. The orange power light on the body also dims. I assume the motor or fan is jammed, but I can't open the body to find out. I've taken out to screws inside near either end of the handle, but to no apparent effect. I'm assuming the body is held together by plastic

My manual says it is DC07, but it is pink and silver in colour. I have 2 problems, firstly the brush has stopped spinning, but belt appears intact. Secondly there are tiny holes in suction pipe near brush i.e. the little section of suction pipe at base of vacuum cleaner.
Hi there, \015\012The DC07 came out in a few different variations so the colour only indicates that yours has a hepa filter. The first problem can be caused by a few different things\015\0121. the brush roller bearings are worn or siexed. ... Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
I have a Model 116.35922500 Kenmore upright vacuum cleaner. It makes a loud air noise when using the vacuum. I have disconnected and removed the hose to see if anything is lodged in the hose and it appears clear. It makes the noise when the hose is connected. When I remove it, the noise stops. When I place my hand over the hose, the nose re appears. I sounds as though the noise is coming from the fan or internal parts of the machine. So, when there is a load or pull on the machine, it mak

There is an "exhaust" pipe of sorts in the lower back part of the vaccuum. Most of the dust and specially pet hair just flies out of there and up in the air. It looks like more stuff comes out than stays in the vaccuum. I'm wondering if there should be something connected to that pipe? Vacuum assembled as per instructions out of the box (installing handle).

My handle won't go back up after an extended vacuuming session during which I used the hand/broom/animal hair attachments several times, thus pulling the hose out/putting it back in, starting/ stopping, and suddenly no matter what I do short of forcing it (and even if I try forcing it a bit) I can't raise the handle to put it away.

Folks, My wife and I own a three-year-old Hoover U6434-900 self-propelled "Wind Tunnel" upright vacuum cleaner. The problem is that, even on the highest setting (front-end as high as possible), it gets bogged-down in even shallow pile carpet to the point that the brush stops. I've cleaned the machine thoroughly, pulling hair, thread, dental floss and such from the brush (and everywhere else), including unscrewing the brush end caps and pulling out the cat hair mats which formed in there.
