Hoover F5809 Hello, I seen a few of your post and was hoping you could help me. I just became a member today. My sister gave me her old Hoover Steam Vac-Model F5809. This thing is so dirty and clogged because my sister has pets. So far I've gotten it all taken apart to clean it. I'm not a newbie and taking apart and fixing things. I have fixed things like microwaves, washers, dryers, dishwashers (still learning about TV's-very hard, hehe). Anyway, I got what I believe to be the motor cover off.

That cover is the called the fan cover and is usually pressed on. Tapping on the edge with a flat blade, you may be able to get it off and hope you don't bend it up, you will to put it back on tight enough so it will stay in place. Another thing to ... Vacuums

My Hoover Whisper Cyclonic is collecting the dirt but not taking it into the cylinder. I have a Hoover, Steam spin scrub, Model F5897-900. Only used it a couple times and the motor gave out. First started being noisy then a bad smell. It did seem noisier that what I would expect from the start but I didn't realize it was a problem with the shaft of the motor. I took it apart and found the motor shaft wasn't true and causing sparks. The motor looks like it can not be taken apart and repaired. This seems like a default from the beginning but it is past warranty. Also noti

Poor suction We bought a model home about 11 years ago and it had the Cental M&S Cyclonic Cleaning system. The suction has steadily been weakening. Now it is almost non-existant. I clean the filter bag in the main unit, but how clean does it need to be. Could there be a clog in the wall lines. If yes, how does one unclogg them. Thank you. I liked the system and would hate to just give up on it. Jean

Filter I bought this Hoover a few years ago-- just now about to use it first time. I cannot find my user's manual and don't know how to change the filter-- or to clean it or whatever I am supposed to do with it. I bought the Eureka 4703D model vacuum and my very first time powering it on, it was extremely loud - abnormally loud, and I don't know if it is loud like that because I possibly put it together wrong, or there is something wrong with it or it was previously damaged and I would like to know if this is something I can fix myself or do I have to take it back apart and return it to Walmart where I purchased it from. Which Kenmore vacuum cleaners are made by Panasonic? Are all of their direct drive machines made by Panasonic? We have a blue Hoover Windtunnel with the dirt sensor. Dyson DC 14 hose has no suction, with or without brush attachments. Hot air shoots out from the base of the canister when I try to use the hose. I cleaned the top filter, but can't figure out how to remove the hepa filter to clean it without destroying the case.
