Having problems with your Vacuums ?

Dyson dc24 - just tried to use after being in storage, making loud noise and seems to be blowing out rather than in. Maybe a part missing? The hole at the top of the bin attachment is sucking air in.....should something be there to stop this?

Answers :

The wand attachment at the top is supposed to only suck in when it\\'s in the upright position, otherwise the suction should be used when the vacuum in rolled on the carpet/wood/surface.

If it\\'s still under warranty, contact Dyson directly. This site may help: dyson.com/support.aspx

I hope that helps.

Have a Eureka Power Plus 12.0 Amps Model 4702 Type A 120 volts and 60 HZ that there is something wrong that it isn't picking up right and you can actually feel the air coming out of it near where the bagless canister attaches. My thoughts are that a seal is missing around where the hole lines up when the cannister is locked in. This Vac was my Mom's and she passed away and I think a part went missing maybe when it was taken apart to clean the filter and empty the canister. Need to figure out if

I have a Vacu-Queen V3000. It stopped in the middle of a job. The plastic housing that sits on the rubber ring at the top of the cannister was sucked part way into the cannister and broke the seal. My Dyson just stopped sucking up dirt. I have checked all the obvious things like clogs and filters. I noticed when I turn it on, there is a valve on the top of the cannister that opens and you can feel suction from the vent hole. Is this valve malfunctioning, or is it working correctly because something else is malfunctioning?

On my Eureka Model 1759A (from mid-1980s), the plastic catch that holds the two parts of the metal body together has broken. I would like to replace the part of the catch that attaches to the top (the part with the lip on it), but I can't find the part online ... or even a drawing. Where can I get this part ? ? ? I sucked up a sock into the carpet attachment of my electrolux 3500 series and the carpet attachment cut off. After the sock was easily removed (it was only wrapped around the brush part) I reattached the carpet attachment, turned the vacuum on and flipped the switch to turn the carpet attachment back on, but it won't come back on. How can I fix it?

My Fantom Thunder upright has a blockage that sounds like it is directly above the dirt bin in the "head". I cannot access it from inside the bin chamber by going up the nozzle with a claw parts retriever. (This is the older model where the cyclone nozzle doesn't come off.) The wand, hose, rear inspection port, and front brush intake are all clear. How do I get the top of the vac off above the dirt bin? I don't see any screws or slots.

My Kirby shampooer - G4 - hardly used any water from the tank and no suds at all. Pet hair did blow out of the small slotted holes in the tray as I moved the shampooer back and forth, but the carpet was basically dry. I did vacuum before shampooing, so the brush part seemed to work great during shampooing, but no water! The small screen was stuck in the crook of the hose that attached to the tank so I did get that out and put it on the small hole on the tank, but it didn't make any difference. I

Poor suction...continued Wow, thanks for answering so quickly! To answer your question, yes, there is suction at the screen, but it is very weak. I keep that screen clean. As a side note, I noticed that when I remove the top clear plastic cover (that would be part # 37 on the diagram, as far as I can tell) there is decent suction coming from the intake there--part 36? 30? it's hard to tell. But with the cover on, I feel no suction (from where it sucks up the water directly from the carpet),

I have a Filter Queen Majestic canister vacuum cleaner. At the end of the wand, a button to release the attachement not only broke, but also one eyehole on the wand where one nipple on the button falls into. I have a Eureka 5902AVZ and the brushroll does not work. when i remove the belt, which is not torn nor worn out, the motor spins perfectly fine. Though when i put the brushroll back into place, it shows that the motor is trying to spin, but with resistance. it seems the brushroll will not spin if locked into place, because there is no attachment on the left side of the brushroll that will allow it to spin freely with the belt. am I missing some parts or is there something else wrong?
