Having problems with your Vacuums ?

Troubleshooting i have a rainbow vacuum model D4C that has minimal suction power. hose if free and clear, but i am missing the gasket that fits under motor. could thius be the problem?

Answers :

That gasket is a water seal, but it can impact the suction, the top of the water tank can't seal without it.
Yes, this is the problem. You need the gasket seal to be clamped between the canister and the water bowl, to create the proper suction.

Hi., If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated, I have a Flair 3055 ventalation system in my house and over the last five years two fan motors have gone bad. it has been mickey moused together by a local repair man, and as of last week, it has died again. At 4-5 hundred a pop I would like to fix it myself, can anyone suggest a good replacement motor that will fit and work. My honey has breading problems and at this time of year, every penny is allocated, so time is of the essence. t

Hello, I have a problem with my Eureka Powerline bagged upright vacuum. It has a 12 amp motor and is model #4352, Type D. It was probably bought new in 1998. My problem is, while vacuuming today the motor seemed to slow down all of the sudden and then began smelling like burning rubber. I shut the vacuum off to check for blockages but could not find anything blocked. When I then turned it on again it runs but seems to only be running at 1/2 the motor speed and still has the rubber buring smell.

It sounds like a rubber sealing in the motor has come loose and is being constantly rubbed against the walls of the motor with would cause the smell and loss of motor speed caused by the fricton of rubber against the rod so if you can get to the moto ... Vacuums

Recently my central vac system started making a louder than usual and laboured sound when in uise, enough so that I took note and inspected the canister and motor while running. The motor was trowing off blue sparks and looked like it could 'POP' at any moment. I will not risk using it until I know what the problem is and how to repair it. My assumption is the motor needs to be replaced. The system came with the resale house I bought 3 yrs ago but I do not know the age of the system itself.

Hoover Wind Tunnel 7500 Brush not Turning. I have replaced the Brush and the belt. The problem does not seem to be either to me. I believe might be a missing part. The place were the belt hooks on is a metal pole which never seems to grip the belt well. In fact it seems loose most of the time and slips on the brush, causing the belt to eventually burn up. Could there be a missing plastic or rubber piece meant to hold the belt taught  on the metal pole?

Delonghi ECO310 BK espresso coffee maker. The unit is leaking from the steam solenoid valve on top of the boiler unit. The Teflon pipe that's retained by the clip is not a tight fit and is able to slide in/out slightly. There is a red gasket present, that sits over the tube, but I suspect that there may be someting else missing from the assembly because of the play in the pipe. Does anyone have a an exploded diagram of the assembly or can confirm that it is just the gasket that is likely to h

This is not an electrolux problem, but I am hoping one of the experts can answer the question. I have a Sears air compressor that suddenly stopped working. After looking at how the motor case is put together, it appeared that it would essentially have to be destroyed to get it apart and into the motor. I received a new compressor for my birthday so I decided to tear into the old one to do some diagnosis. After getting into the case where I could see the motor/pump, I have discovered the prob

I have an old Shop Vac model 3331.5. This is a 12 gallon 1.5 hight peak shop vac with a detachable blower. After many years I decided to use the blower feature, but have lost the lost the manual. Question; how do I attach the hoses to the blower? The motor has that cap on it the direct the flow of air in one direction and the wide hoses do not fit over it. I may be missing a part, but I would think the directional cap would have to come off anyway.
