Unless you can Dyson to intervene and have this repair covered under their warranty, You are stuck to pay for the service. Clogs may not be covered under warranty, but I don't know how their warranty states. If it says that if you have a problem, take it in for repair, and it will be repaired to the orginal state, then a clog should be covered. But some shops will charge an adminstration type fee even if it is under warranty as the warranty doesn't pay hardly anything.

Dyson vacuum I have a DC07 vaccuum. The problem I am having is that the front does not want to stay down as I vaccuum and I continuously have to keep stepping on the front to make it go back down to the floor. It seems as though there is either not enough weight in the front or possibly the unit just has to be broken in so that there is not so much resistance between the handle and the front of the vaccuum. Could there be something I did not remove or is this typical on these vaccuums?

There is some thing broken it is two plastic cogs they help the front go down and stay up you will have to get a star screw driver and there should be two screws on top and two at the b ... Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Last year my wife and I bought a new Dirt Devil Reaction All Surface vaccuum cleaner to replace the older Platinum Force. After using it a couple of times the new one gets clogged with dog hair easily and shuts down. I cleaned it out completely including the hepa filter but it will not handle the dog hair. The old one never had a problem and still works. We went back to using the old vaccuum cleaner because we can not find the receipt and had not registered the new one and are stuck with a new 1

I have a Dyson upright vacuum cleaner makes a helluva racket whilst in use. Called up Dyson and they told me to flip the floor/carpet knob 10 times back and forth. That did the trick for a short while and it started again. Continue attempts useing that technique does not work. I think in spite of the big bragging I see on the TV this guy braying about how superior his product is it is a piece of junk. I should have bought a Eureka or something, at least it would have been less expensive. I

My vacuum just stopped working, so I don't know what the problem is. I used it in the kitchen to vacuum the hard wood floor. I turned it off, and a few minutes later, turned it back on to finish vaccuuming the kitchen floor. It just would not turn on. I had not unplugged it or did anything to it. I then tried to see if it would work in another plug, and no luck. I'm trying to figure out if it can be fixed or if I need to look for a new vacuum.

When I get most Vacuums that have dies on people most of them the wire has been worn and cut one or more wires on the plug cord. Sometimes the cut can be over looked. Please unplug and check the wire carefully. Also please post the make model a ... Kenmore 23913 Progressive PowerMate Bagged Canister Vacuum

Hi. We've got a Dyson DC17 "Animal". It's clogged, and we are unable to separate the purple cyclone cap from the main cyclone body to get to the problem. We've heard of 4 torx screws that take some interesting tactics to access. I've been through this thing with a flashlight, and torx tools for a protracted period, and even after removing the torx screws was unable to ultimately separate the two pieces (main body from purple cap assembly). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx -

I have a VAX V12 vacuum cleaner which suddenly stopped. The smell indicated Carbon Brush Problems. I contacted a service agent who told me that it was not possible to change the Carbon Brushes brushes on this model and they would need to change the Motor Unit.. To me this sounds very unlikely. Two questions please. Is it possible to change the Carbon Brushes and how do I get the cabinet apart which looks very difficult. I am well qualified electrically to do this job. Regards James Beech

I bought a fantom vacuum on HSN about 9 years ago.Whan it was delivered the first one was broken so they sent a second one.tThat one also was cracked on covering for brush. I called and they told me they were no longer available,so I kept that one, since it would cost me shipping to return. The back right side wheel evenually cracked and fell off.I was able to put it back on and it would stay for a few weeks or so.It now has a large piece of plastic that has broken off the wheel where the bolt fit

I have the same problem as discussed above. My Hoover Pet Cyclonic upright stops working while using it. The bottom feels hot when this happens. When it first occurred, I emptied the canister and even tried a different plug. It did not turn back on for over an hour. When it did turn back on, it would die again after about 3-5 minutes of use. I don't know what else to try. I have washed the secondary filters, let them air dry and replaced them and this did not help the problem. My friend,

On my M&S Air Vac AV425 central vaccuum system, the system usually turns on by inserting the vaccuum hose into one of the vaccuum outlets. However, it now runs continuously. Lately we've been having plumbing problems to where our washing machine floods up our bath tub and toilet. And it happens while we have the washing machine on of course. Another problem is that whenever we are taking a shower our tub starts to clog up and water starts pouring out from the bottom of our toilet. Dyson animal won't start. Never had any problem with this vacuum. No apparent problem. No electrical problem with house or outlet. If there are some common things I could check/fix, things that might go wrong, I would like to check them out and get this machine going again.

Hi there, if the machine was running and cut out in use, this could be due to the motor overheating. The cause of this would be a blockage or a dirty filter. These checks can be found in the Support section on our website at www.dyson.com. ... Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I have an animal dyson. The front nose dives into the carpet when moving the dyson in the forward motion, fine when pulling back. A huge amount of effort is required to move it forward. Took it to a technician and he said he could find nothing wrong. He had only short nap carpet for test. Works fine on short nap, if the carpet nap has any lenght to it like shag, the dyson severly nose dives. It's like the nose is sucked into the carpet. The hose works great, but the head of the vaccuum does not pick up anything !!! I checked every opening that may have been clogged, but nothing came up. When I hold my hand under the brush/roller, it seems to be putting out more air than intaking air. Particles "dance" on the carpet, but don't get "sucked up" into the vaccuum ? I have had the vaccuum only 1 year, so the brushes should not be a problem. I changed the bag, and checked the belt. The belt and brushes seem to be OK. ?

Currently my dyson does not work when in the upright position. When I pull the handle back, it will run, but the suction is not very good at all. I tried washing the filter, but that didn't work. Sometimes it works for awhile, but then the problem occurs after the machine has been used for awhile. What do you think the problem is?

I have a Hoover U5111-900 that, every time I attempt to use it, shoots everything it should be sucking up, back out toward my feet. I have replaced the bag, pulled out lots of animal hair and such from the area behind the bag, and taken off all parts able to be removed without a screwdriver and pulled out all chunks of hair, dirt, etc. It still keeps shooting everything it should **** up out the back. Poor Suction Heya! So I just picked up a used Dyson, but when I vacuum with it, the suction is pretty weak and it spits all kinds of stuff out the back and into my feet. When I pull the hose I have good suction, but in regular mode it hardly picks up anything. The brushes are spinning, and it eventually will clean an area if I go over it again and again. Maybe a clog somewhere? Please tell me that Dysons have better suction than my $50 Dirt Devil! Thanks!

Good day, I took off the cover on a proheat upright, to install the suction diverter flap. Guy at the shop told me I had to do this but I don't think it was really necessary. I see no obvious "right: way to put the piston back in. can anybody help me. Thanks Richard
