Check to see if you have suction at the outlet, if so
\015\012the plug is in the hose or wand. If no suction at the wall, check at the vacuum. If you have suction at the vacuum then the line from the vacuum to the outlet
\015\012that you were connected is where the plug is.
\015\012Try a plumbers snake to try to get plug out.

My Vacuum DC-17 has just quit sucking. It has been making quite a racket since I had the belt changed at a repair shop several months ago. I was told that the belt was a new design and figured that was why it was making so much noise. it seemed to work fine, was picking up dirt and all, but today, when I started vacumming, I noticed it was not sucking air either with the belt engaged or not. My vacuum is approx. 5 years old.

It's probably the brush "kicking" the dirt out, rather than it being blown out. This happens if there's a clog in the airflow system somewhere. This could be anywhere from the power head above the brush to the tank where the hose connects.\01 ... Dirt Devil Vacuums
