Having problems with your Beam Industries Vacuums ?

I took apart my beam rugmaster plus model 045-322 and cleaned out "stuff". Now I can't figure out how to put one piece back in. Is there a diagram somewhere that I can look at? It consists of 2 pieces of metal that go to the right of the handle tube.

Electrolux Genesis 1572F: 1) One of the two spring/clips/whatever that hold the upright upright for storage has busted. What is the part called? Where might I find a spare? Or should I go to a machine shop? 2) The power cord retainer thingy on the back of the handle grip has broken; any idea about part#, name of part, where to look? (I can't find a manual or whatever, exploded parts diagram, etc., online. I guess this is the planned obsolescence thing--after all, the machine is hardly even 2

I bought the vac, used, but was told there was nothing wrong with it. I called the company, and was given the impression that it will be a huge headache to return it. Here's the best part: when I received it, I opened the box: it was broken. Clearly the highest internal piece of the vacume, whent he handle is removed, was cracked off, and in two pieces. The handle will not lock into place, so if I were to vacume forward, see ya, and the vac is back in pieces. Any idea how to rig this to get it t

I have a Hoover Elite Rewind model #uh71009. We moved recently and it was jostled around and the red power switch popped out. I put it back in but it's stuck; it stays either left or right, it doesnt move back and forth. It appears there may be another piece missing from the power switch...all I have is the red switch and a tiny cylindrical metal tube with a spring on one end. This piece fits into the hole on the red switch. Inside the vacuum itself where this goes, there is quite a large cavity

When vacuuming carpet with the electric power brush it will ocassionly , go to zero suction mode and shut off the brush. I have tried to cause it to happen by playing with the joint areas ( handle to tube and tube to power brush) without sucess. When the problem does occur I just turn the suction back on and power up the brush again at the handle controls.

Dear Sir: I just purchased a Bissell Rug Shampooer at a garage sale. The only thing I find for a model is on the back and it says Model 1695 there. Nothing on front. It is Navy blue and has a grey tank on it with a smaller one inserted at bottom of the large tank. It has two switches on the back of it and the trigger switch at the handle. The cleaner works, BUT, it does not extract any water back into the tank that is to pick up the dirty water. Could you suggest what I may look at t

My 8 yr old kenmore vacuum works well - however the hose has worn under the handle where there is a hole (resulting in decreased suction power). I'd like instructions on opening the handle and bypassing the worn piece of tubing rather than replacing it for $129. Some of the handle screws remove easily but the last one doesn't loosen easily.

Hi,Have you tried spraying the stubborn screw with WD40 and let it soaked for a while? Other than these screws holding the handle together, there would no other way of opening it up. Hope this be of initial help/idea. ... Kenmore Vacuums

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

The hand-held wand wont slide back into the tube. It wont go down far enough to click in and become the handle again. It was working fine but all of the sudden won't fit back in.

Sounds like the tube has something inside of it that is obstructing the path. veriffy the the "female" end of the tube isnt obstructed, and also, make sure that nothing is bent ( which can happen easily). use a flashlight to shine down into the tubes ... Dyson Ball DC24 Bagless Upright Vacuum

Clogged vacuum Rather stupidly, my boyfriend 1) were vacuuming without a bag and 2) vacuumed up a big piece of cotton from a sofa cushion. And now it's making a horrible noise and I see it vibrating where the tube connects to the machine. When you look inside there's a white thing sticking out but it looks like it's part of the vacuum. If it's a clog, how do you fix it? I tried unscrewing the tray the bag sits in but it won't budge.

You can start by taking off the bottom plate or top cover, which ever comes off, that is where the inlet starts going in and hopefully the clog is there. Could be in the hose also. But without the complete model number I can't look it up to see a p ... Kenmore 31912 Progressive Direct Drive Bagged Upright Vacuum

I have a Bissell Model 8905 Carpet Cleaner. I was going to replace the belts because the pump belt broke, but when I turned the machine over, a small piece fell out.
