Bissell Big Green Machine Model 1672 will not pump cleaning liquid

\015 I have a 12 year old Bissell Big Green Machine Model 1672. The pump appears to be siezed. I've noted where others with similar problems have opened their units, turned the pump shaft a few revolutions by hand or with a tool and were able to get back in operation. Can't figure out how to open the thing. Any ideas? Many Thanks!\015

Have a Bissell Big Green 1672, the older canister model. Went crazy trying to figure out how to get to the pump. Finally figured it out. The top green "shell" covers the motor & pump and is separate from the "grey" plastic housing. Using a screw driver, insert it between the small gap between the top "shell" and the housing. If you look at it with it laying down on the top, you will see the small 1/4" gap. Gently pry in between the two and work your way around. It will start to lift up and then you can easily work your way around and it will pop off exposing the motor and pump. Note that the wires to the on/off & pump switches will sill be attached to the top shell. If you take them off note where they came from and make sure they are all on when you put the top back on. I have had my Green Machine for years, what a work horse! To bad they don't make them anymore, the new ones that replaced them just don't have the same durability and power as the older Green Machines.
You have to take out the screws from the top, there are 3 on each side, then it will pull off, but the only way to correctly fix a seized pump is to replace it, It may run for away, but will just resize again. When you re-install the top housing, put the auto-mix know on the water only, and make sure the piston goes into the slot and that all lines are in correct position so as not to get crimped when you screw it back down.

My Bissell Quicksteamer Model 1960-R won't spray cleaning solution. I have cleaned it and taken apart the whole thing. I can't find any problems. The holes are not cloged where the water comes out as I disconnected it and blew through it to be sure. The lines show water trying to go through. It is as if it doesn't have enough power to pump the water out when I squeeze the trigger. I am thinking it is the pump thing but can't find a replacement part for it.
