Answers :

First take off the belt cover on the side,
\015\012then turn it over, on the belt end of the brush roll, there is a red piece to hold in the brush roll, take out that screw and pull it off, the you can remove the end cap and cogged belt, Put the pump belt up thru the opening and around the bigger part of the pump pulley, grab the belt from the top side and put it around the motor shaft. Re-install the cogged belt, brush roll, cap and red lock.

Hi my proheat bissell 7901 stopped pumping water to the floor, but it pumps water from the hand hose. I read the manual and followed how to check belt and the flat belt on right side of shampooer is fine and I turned on and it turns and so do the brushes at the bottom of the machine. I was reading online and I guess there's two belts on this machine? where can I find the other belt to see if it needs replacing. I guess it's a ribbed belt? that is the water pump belt?

When I went to change the belt, the belt was fine but the gear itself with the small shaft on it was no longer attached and just dropped out. I have a Bissell Model 8905 Carpet Cleaner. I was going to replace the belts because the pump belt broke, but when I turned the machine over, a small piece fell out. It looks like a tensioner arm because it has a small round part at each end on opposite sides of an arm that has an offset or "dogleg" in it. I am looking for an exploded parts diagram to determine what the part is and where it came from.
