There is an "exhaust" pipe of sorts in the lower back part of the vaccuum. Most of the dust and specially pet hair just flies out of there and up in the air. It looks like more stuff comes out than stays in the vaccuum. I'm wondering if there should be something connected to that pipe? I have a Bissell Model 8905 Carpet Cleaner. I was going to replace the belts because the pump belt broke, but when I turned the machine over, a small piece fell out. It looks like a tensioner arm because it has a small round part at each end on opposite sides of an arm that has an offset or "dogleg" in it. I am looking for an exploded parts diagram to determine what the part is and where it came from.

When lowering the handle it acts like it would like to work but the roller will not turn. appears to be something to do with the self propel part of the handle . took the screws aout but can not get it apart. Is there another belt of something in there?

Have Electrolux 1590 whole house vac, and can't see how to get brushes out. Leads so short, and don't want to break them trying to free brushes. Do they slide out of plastic housing? My eyes not real good, but it looks like the leads are part of a brass sleeve that slides into the plastic housing. It also looks like the plastic housing may be a snap lock type, but I don't see how to open it.

The brush roller stops turning and I can smell the belt burning, then it will catch and start working normal. I looked under the plate to check the belts and they looked okay and no hang ups of string or anything. The only thing that seemed weird was that the smaller belt that actually attaches and turns the roller is a bit loose. The larger belt is tight but looks like its the one that is burning and causing the smell.

Better to replace both belts the smaller one is stretched out thats whyits slipping ,be sure to clean the old rubber off the motor shaft before replacing the belts.it will cause the new belts to run unevevly and go bad before their time ... I've never had to change a CFL bulb like the GE 35972 in my kitchen ceiling fixture. It looks like a squared off pretzel with the socket in the middle and facing up to the ceiling. It's been in there for years -- this is a rental -- and because it's so close to the ceiling, I can't tell where to pull the pins from the socket apart without breaking it. Any instructions or suggestions? Also, my Home Depot doesn't sell it; will the pins match a different CFL, like maybe a circular one?
