The automatic drain hose is hooked up to the back of the unit, but when the bucket is full, the automatic pump does not work. The automatic pump should come on and empty the bucket, but it does not come on unless the water is siphoned manually through the tube. Then the pump come on and empties the bucket. I have reattached the tube and still had to manually siphon the water through the tube. Any suggestions?

Any automatic pumps operate off a swith that is turned on when the water rises. They normally have some type of ball lift, that will raise the switch when water is high and then drops with the water and shuts the pumps off. It sounds like yours is ... Vacuums

If I put down water using the hand tool, the vacunme will pick it up. When I called Bissell they had me do something with the indicator. When it didn't work they said take it in for repair.

I have a Bissell Pro 2x carpet cleaner. The water heats properly as well as spraying the cleaning product. However, when I go to suction the water from the carpets, the 2 in 1 water tank bladder works properly but there is no dirty water outside the bladder. I have only used this carpet cleaner ~ 5 times and in the beginning I had to empty the suctioned water quite frequently as it was dirty and it could not not hold any more water. So I have done 1 room and all the dirt remains in the carpet

We have a Bissell Proheat 2X (model 8920). The problem we are having is when water/soap is initially released (all settings) it continues to leak out the front water spray nozzles unit the water containers are empty. The vacuum works but can't keep up with the continuous water leaking out. Do you have any idea what is sticking open to allow the continued release of water when the machine is running? Thanks Rick

My Bissell Pro Heat Select 2X does not pull up the dirt from the carpet into the water. The water just slowly disappears. The first time I used it the water got really dirty. The very next time I used it it worked differently and the water just disappeared until it was all gone. I've only used it a couple times and I don't see where it is working. Has anyone else had this problem?
