Having problems with your Bissell 1699 ProHeat Clear View Upright Steam Vacuum ?

Mystery part Bissell 1699-P. I removed the top cover and a part came tumbling out (from the rear of the machine - towards the handle area). I have no idea were this part belongs. I have a schematic of the cleaner but I can not locate the part on it. I tried to copy and paste a picture of the part but that isn't working so I will attempt to discribe the part: There is nothing stampted on the part that I can see. It is plastic(white), 2" long, 3/16" in diamater. One end is U shaped (u-shape is 1/4

One question... you haven't mentioned that the vacuum doesn't work now... as hard as this is to accept... if it doesn't effect the function... forget about it.... i could very well have been something you vacuumed up along the way.

My dc 05 isnt working and i cant understand why , i have cleaned all filters etc and i also changed the fuse on the plug , which after i didi that it attempted to start but then jus cut out again so i thought the fuse had blown again , so i checked the fuse but its working fine could there still be a blockage somewhere in it or is it something electrical which means my dyson has to go to the dump :(

Most common cause of this problem is a wire broken inside the flex, usually either just where it leaves the plug (easy to fix) or at the other end (more of a problem). In either case, this is no reason to dump the machine - it can be fixed at a fract ... Dyson DC05 Cylinder Bagless Canister Cyclonic Vacuum

Hi, I've a Tefal Steam Generator Express Turbo 2910. It won't "steam". The solenoid works when the button is pressed. The pump works. I've cleaned the tank (with white vinegar as recommended on this site!) thoroughly. The water from the steam tank is only "hot" (not scalding as I'd expect it to be). When first switched on and hot enough there is the TINIEST whiff of steam when the button is pressed then nothing more. Do you think this could be the Thermostat Part CS00094126, or can you

I have a Bissell ProHeat 2x, and I did something dum. I had some powdered cleaner that said it works with carpet cleaners-well I mixed it in-and the next time I tried to use it, nothing came out. So, I took it part to check what was wrong-and found out that the powdered cleaner solidified in places. I cleared the nozzels, nothing. I think the solenoid, between the heater and nozzels is pluggd, and possibly the heater. I've got a question-could I use CLR to clean the heater, with replacing t

Heck yeah, give it a shot. Try running some water through it too- fill it up, heat it just to where it's hot and unplug it, shake it around and dump it out. Repeat. You might have to get a wire or something to go through and get the powder loosened b ... Bissell Vacuums

My shark steamer has stopped working after a year of having it (I have already replaced one, I'm a idiot!). My problem; however, is that it will steam, but the steam stops traveling through the actual "mop" part. I plugged it in, wait seconds and start pumping, but the steam builds up until it's hard to pump. I had to press the button really hard for the bottom to come off and it shot off like a rocket! I tried to stick something through the tubing, but it did nothing. What am I doing wrong? I

I have an Eureka Express canister vacuum - I believe it's model 8284 - that just stopped working. Plug it in, turn it on, and absolutely nothing happens. I took it to the local sew and vac place and they say it's a circuit board that is no longer available. I've looked at all the parts lists and diagrams for that vacuum and I would swear there isn't a circuit board there. (I wouldn't have even thought that in 1989 they would have used circuits.) In any case, I absolutely love this machine a

Our kenmore progressive model #11634922 was working fine today. And then - it's not. Plugged in - nothing is working on it. We let it cool down (though it didn't seem hot). Still nothing - no light, no motor. Tried it in some other plugs that we know are functioning well - and still nothing. Any idea what might be wrong with it? It's six years old but doesn't get heavy use. Thanks so much ~ Susan Golden
